Refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers and laundry installed across Lafayette, in the older core around Public Road plus Indian Peaks, Silver Creek and the newer subdivisions. Gas and water connections are leak-checked before we leave.
Delivery crews set the box in place and leave the connecting, leveling and venting for someone else. We finish that part across Lafayette; the full list is on our appliance installation page.
Most Lafayette houses are from the 1990s and 2000s, so installations here rarely fight the building. Openings are standard, connections are in place, and the work is mostly the first or second replacement of appliances that went in with the house.
The exception is the small historic core near Public Road, where a few hundred older houses remain. There, doorways and cabinet depths predate current appliance sizes, and measuring before anything is ordered saves a second trip.
Tell us the appliance and the address when you book, and we will confirm a two-hour arrival window. The technician checks the connection, levels and secures the unit, tests it under load and takes the packaging away. Where a dryer vent is restricted, we handle dryer vent cleaning in the same visit.
If the old appliance turns out to be repairable rather than finished, we say so, and appliance repair in Lafayette runs through the same technicians.

Old Town is where an installation needs the most measuring. The miner’s cottages around Public Road and Simpson Street are small one-story houses, and some homes there began as commercial buildings. Doorways, hallway turns and cabinet openings were sized long before today’s appliances.
Gas and power are the other Old Town questions. A new range may need a different connector or shutoff than the one feeding the old unit, and we check that before the old range leaves. A dryer needs a 240-volt circuit or a gas line where it will stand, and an older house does not always have one there.
Centaur Village, from the 1970s, and its north and west sections bring the next set of quirks. Laundry closets and kitchen openings were sized for machines of that era. Today’s larger front-loaders and deeper refrigerators can overhang them, and original dryer vent runs need an airflow check before a new dryer goes on.
Hearthwood’s 1980s townhomes and the Coal Creek Village townhomes built from 2004 bring tighter laundry spaces. Stacked washer and dryer pairs are common in attached homes, and a stack has its own clearances and venting. The Centaur Village West condos can add shared stairs or hallways, so tell us about building access when you book.
Indian Peaks, Waneka Landing and Blue Heron Estates were built from the early 1990s into the 2000s. Most installs there replace builder-grade machines for the first or second time, and the openings are standard. The weak point is usually the original shutoff valve and supply line behind the old unit, and we replace them while the space is open. Indian Peaks includes attached homes as well as houses, and where a washer sits above finished rooms, a drain pan and a braided supply hose are worth adding at install.
In Lafayette Park, Beacon Hill and South Pointe, openings and hookups vary from house to house. A photo of the space and the connections behind the old unit, taken before delivery, tells the technician what to bring.
Silver Creek houses from the late 2000s mostly have basements. That matters when a washer, dryer or second freezer is going downstairs, because the stair turn sets the size limit before the opening does.
Silo, Trails at Coal Creek and Willoughby Corner are new construction, with new connections behind every machine. The usual job there is adding an appliance the builder left out or upgrading a range. Silo’s high-performance houses were designed around energy targets, so check what the house provides for venting and power before choosing a new dryer or range.
In the larger Blue Heron Estates houses, a built-in refrigerator or wall oven needs its cutout measured exactly. Panel-ready doors are fitted after the unit is set and leveled, so the panels should be on site the day we arrive.
Call before the appliance arrives rather than after. Measure the doorway the box has to come through, not just the opening it is going into, and measure cabinet depth as well as width.
Book an installation and we will confirm the next available window for your Lafayette address.
Do you handle gas connections?
We connect gas appliances and leak-check the connection before leaving. Where a job needs a new gas line run or work that belongs to a licensed gas fitter, we tell you at the diagnostic rather than partway through.
Do you take the old appliance away?
We take the packaging, and we can disconnect and move the old unit out. Tell us when you book so the technician arrives expecting it, because removal changes how long the visit takes.

Ryan was great with my dryer repair. He complete the task in less than 1 hr and was great with responding quickly! Thank you.

They responded very quickly to my call and arrived timely (appreciated the text that they were on the way & when they arrived). They were very nice and explained everything that they found wrong with my dryer and walked me through the process of how they would repair the issues prior to repairing it. Would recommend!

Technician arrived on time and was courteous and professional in their explanation. I felt comfortable with their recommendations. Appreciate the level of service from this small company

Had our washing machine break mid-cycle on a Sunday. Within a few minutes of reaching out to them, the team at Wilson and Myers had contacted me with available times including that very evening, no additional fees for a weekend. The tech that arrived was really friendly and professional and got the job done quickly and below the amount I had prepared myself to pay. Will definitely use again if needed!
