Two Numbers Decide What Happens First
Viking appliance repair, Denver Metro: every booking starts at the plate. Its model number names the line, and its serial holds the build date.
The plate shows whether a Viking recall comes first, and the purchase or closing date whether Viking’s warranty does. If neither applies, the repair is ours, in your home.
Which Viking Line Is in Your Kitchen
Repair facts follow the line and its generation, not the badge. On Viking appliances, repair starts with reading the model number in full.
- 3 Series
RV in front, as in RVGR3302 and RVFFR336. Its dishwasher, VDWU324, is the exception.
- 5 Series
Models such as VGR5304, VCSB5424 and VDWU524. An F in front marks the panel-ready twin, as in FDSB5424.
- 7 Series
Models such as VGR7362, VSOF7301 and VDWU724.
- Tuscany
TV in front: TVDR ranges and TVHW hoods.
- RVL
MV in front: MVSOE6301 wall ovens and MVWHS636 hoods.
- Veil
Integrated columns such as FDREIC7240, with L or R for the hinge side.
- Discontinued
Professional and Designer built-ins such as VCBB363 and DDBB363; D3, with RD in front; Virtuoso refrigeration, with MV in front.
Where Viking Puts the Plate, and What the Serial Says
Viking service, repair and recall checks all begin at the plate.
On the ranges, dishwashers and built-in refrigerators in its recall notices, Viking reads the serial’s first six digits as month, day, year. Its example 082421C10019872 was built August 24, 2021. On other appliances, Viking says only that the date is in the serial.

Rule Out a Viking Recall Before Paying for a Repair
A recalled appliance gets Viking’s free repair, and we do not repair one.
Check by the full model and serial, never by the first letters. A current VGIC53024B starts like the 2015 notice’s VGIC530. Viking’s page has a checker for its range notices, and every notice names Viking’s recall line.

Viking’s Warranty, Appliance by Appliance
Viking’s full warranty runs two years on every indoor appliance, from purchase or from closing on a new home, whichever is longer. Inside that window, the work belongs to Viking’s warranty service. Viking excludes damage from anyone else’s repair, so let Viking arrange it. For out-of-warranty Viking appliances, service and repair are ours.
Cover moves to a new owner only with the home. Without a receipt or registration, a later owner’s clock starts at the serial’s date. From year 3, Viking’s current sheet covers the parts below; part only means you pay labor, shipping and handling. Several current Viking manuals print other terms; check the warranty that came with your model, or confirm with Viking.
- Gas burners: surface, bake, broil, griddle and grill burners, years 3 to 5, part only, not ignition systems, bases or caps.
- Electric elements and magnetrons: ranges, ovens, cooktops and built-in microwaves, years 3 to 5, part only.
- Dishwashers: rust-through racks, electronic controls, wash motor and pump, wash arms and fill valve, years 3 to 5, part only.
- Hoods and downdrafts: ventilation motors, years 3 to 5, part only.
- Veil, built-in and freestanding refrigerators and freezers: sealed system, parts and labor through year 6, part only through year 12.
- Undercounter, wine and ice units: sealed system, parts and labor through year 6. The Veil wine column’s spec sheet prints more.
Viking Refrigeration, Ice, Wine and Dishwashers
Viking’s refrigerators today are 5 Series built-in side-by-sides, the 3 Series RVFFR336 French door and Veil columns. They go to Viking refrigerator repair, with undercounter refrigerators and beverage centers.
Veil all-freezer columns and the freezer side of combination units go to Viking freezer repair. Undercounter clear, craft and nugget ice machines go to Viking ice maker repair. So does the ice side of a Viking refrigerator or freezer.
Undercounter cellars and Veil wine columns go to Viking wine cooler repair. Viking’s outdoor refrigeration sits outside what we service.

Viking Ranges, Ovens, Cooktops, Hoods and Built-In Microwaves
Burners, ignition, the griddle and the range as a whole go to Viking range repair. Range oven faults go to Viking oven repair. We do not service induction, so VIR and RVIR ranges and a Tuscany’s induction section sit outside our work. So do Viking’s induction cooktops and rangetops.
Viking’s wall ovens, all electric today, RVL steam and combi-speed models included, go to Viking wall oven repair. Cooktops and rangetops go to Viking cooktop repair. Wall, chimney and ceiling hoods, inserts and downdrafts go to Viking range hood repair.
