Installing a disposal where none existed before is a different scope than a straight replacement. It needs an existing outlet or hardwired connection under the sink, a sink bowl with a drain opening that fits a disposal, and drain plumbing already in place to connect to. Many handymen skip the electrical step or wire it incorrectly. When those are in place, our technicians handle mounting, the drain connection, the connection to the existing outlet or wiring, and the test run on a single visit.

The total is confirmed before any work begins. A first-time install usually costs more than a replacement because there is more to fit and connect.

What We Check Before Leaving
Every job ends the same way. We run cold water and operate the disposal to confirm there are no leaks at the mounting assembly, the drain connection, or the dishwasher fitting. The reset button is tested.
The wall switch is confirmed to work correctly. A disposal that leaks at the mounting ring almost always means the sink flange was not properly sealed: we don’t leave until that’s confirmed tight.
