A coin-operated washer that won’t drain leaves customers with soaking wet laundry and a machine out of service. The most common cause is a clogged drain pump filter blocked by coins, lint, and debris that accumulates faster in vended laundry environments than in residential settings. A failed drain pump motor is the second cause, typically preceded by a humming sound during the drain cycle with no water movement.
On front-load laundromat washers, a kinked or blocked drain hose is a third common cause. If the display shows an error code, that code gives the most direct path to diagnosis. Book online for a fast response.

When a vended washer runs through the cycle but clothes come out dripping wet, the problem is almost always one of four parts. Look for a failed lid switch on top-loaders, a failed door lock assembly on front-loaders, a worn drive belt, or a motor that can no longer generate enough torque for the spin cycle. High-speed extraction is essential in a laundromat environment: customers expect clothes dry enough for the dryer in one cycle, and a weak spin cycle reduces dryer throughput and increases customer complaints.
This is the most common dryer call we get from laundromats. On gas dryers, a failed igniter or faulty gas valve coils stops the heat entirely. On electric models, a blown heating element or tripped thermal fuse cuts the circuit.
In a laundromat environment, clogged lint systems are the primary cause of repeated thermal fuse failures: the fuse blows because the vent system is overloaded, not because the fuse itself is defective. Replacing the fuse without clearing the vent means it will blow again. We address both on the same call.

When the dryer drum won’t rotate, a broken drive belt is almost always the cause. Belts wear faster in high-cycle commercial environments than in residential units. A seized drum roller or failed idler pulley produces the same symptom.
A motor that hums but doesn’t turn the drum points to a failed start capacitor or a jammed blower wheel. We repair drum and belt problems on all major laundromat dryer brands across Denver Metro Area.
A coin-operated washer that does nothing at all after coins go in points to the payment system rather than the mechanical components. A failed coin mechanism that doesn’t register coin insertion, a stuck coin drop, or a faulty control board that doesn’t receive the start signal from the payment system are the most common causes. On card payment systems, a failed payment kiosk reader or a disconnected network signal stops the cycle from initiating.
We diagnose both mechanical and payment system faults on every laundromat call across Denver Metro Area. Book online for a fast response.

If a dryer takes coins but won’t start, the cause is usually a failed door lock, a tripped thermal fuse from overheating, or a control board fault that doesn’t advance the cycle timer after payment. A door that appears closed but doesn’t register as fully latched prevents the start signal from releasing on most modern laundromat dryers. Check the door latch mechanism first before calling for service.
A leaking washer in a laundromat creates floor hazards and risks damage to adjacent machines. On front-load washers, a worn door seal (boot gasket) is the most common source. Water under the machine points to a loose or cracked drain hose connection or a failed water inlet valve.
Oversudsing from incorrect detergent in HE machines causes foam to push past the door seal and pool on the floor without any mechanical failure involved. Laundromat operators using bulk dispensing systems should verify correct detergent type and dosing before calling for service.

In a vended laundry, error codes communicate the fault directly. Write down the code displayed before calling. The most common codes we resolve are Speed Queen and Huebsch fault codes for drain failure, door lock faults and motor errors, and Dexter codes for temperature sensor and control board faults.
Maytag Commercial codes point to lid switch and pump failures, and Wascomat codes to water inlet and drain system errors. Error codes cut diagnostic time and reduce the service call duration significantly.
Our on-premise laundry (OPL) service covers hotels, hospitals, gyms, salons, apartment complexes, and any facility running high-cycle washers and dryers outside a public laundromat setting. OPL equipment runs significantly more cycles per day than vended equipment and requires faster response when it fails. Wilson & Myers handles repair and service for on-premise operations across Denver Metro Area, including washer-extractor repair, tumble dryer repair, and commercial laundry equipment service agreements.

Had our washing machine break mid-cycle on a Sunday. Within a few minutes of reaching out to them, the team at Wilson and Myers had contacted me with available times including that very evening, no additional fees for a weekend. The tech that arrived was really friendly and professional and got the job done quickly and below the amount I had prepared myself to pay. Will definitely use again if needed!
