What We Handle

Gas Range Installation

Connecting a gas range to an existing supply line requires a flexible gas connector, the correct fittings, and a leak test before the gas goes back on. We shut off the existing valve, make the connection, test every joint with a detector, and run all burners through a full ignition cycle to confirm everything fires correctly. We connect to an existing gas line only. If no gas line exists at the location, a licensed plumber or your gas utility company needs to run one first. We identify this at booking and tell you exactly what needs to happen before we schedule the visit. Book online to confirm availability.

Electric Range Installation

Most new electric ranges ship without a power cord. The cord type has to match the outlet at your location: Denver Metro Area homes built before 2000 often have 3-prong outlets while current code requires 4-prong. We assess the outlet on arrival, supply the correct cord, make the connection at the terminal block, and run the unit through a heat cycle to confirm function before leaving. The circuit must be a dedicated 240V 30-amp or 50-amp line depending on the model. If the electrical circuit is undersized or absent, we identify this at booking before scheduling.

Cooktop Installation

Drop-in units cut into a countertop opening and seal to the surface from above. The connection scope matches the fuel type: gas flex connector to an existing supply line for gas models, or a 240V electrical connection for electric. Electric cooktop installation requires confirming the dedicated circuit amperage before the visit. We check the countertop cutout dimensions against the unit’s specified opening before installation begins. A model that doesn’t match the existing cutout requires cabinet modification first. We confirm this at booking when the model is provided in advance. For repair on an existing cooktop, see our cooktop repair page.

Slide-In vs Freestanding Range

Every freestanding range requires an anti-tip bracket mounted to the floor or wall behind the unit. This bracket engages the rear leveling leg and prevents the range from tipping forward if weight is placed on the open oven door. It is a code requirement, not optional. Many big box delivery installers skip this step entirely. We install the anti-tip bracket on every freestanding range job as a standard part of the scope, not an add-on.

Gas Line: What We Do and What We Don't

We connect gas appliances to an existing gas supply line. We do not run new gas lines through walls or floors. That scope belongs to a licensed plumber or your gas utility company. On most calls, an existing gas line is already in place from the previous range or from the original kitchen build-out. We shut off the existing valve, make the connection with a new flexible connector, and perform a leak test before restoring gas flow. The gas line for stove connection to an existing supply is an appliance hookup, not a plumbing job, and does not require a plumber when the line is already there.

Range and Cooktop Removal

Gas range installation cost depends on whether the existing connection requires a new shutoff valve, whether the anti-tip bracket needs floor anchoring, and whether any electrical work is needed for the ignition circuit. Gas stove installation cost follows the same variables. Electric range installation cost depends on cord configuration and whether the existing circuit is the correct amperage. Gas range hookup to an existing line is a straightforward scope for most calls. We confirm pricing before scheduling. See our pricing page for details. We install any brand purchased anywhere: no purchase from us required.

Range / Cooktop Installation FAQ

  • Not if a gas line already exists at the location. Connecting a range to an existing gas supply line is appliance installation work. We connect the flexible gas connector, perform a leak test, and confirm ignition on all burners on the same visit. If no gas line exists at your location, a licensed plumber or your gas utility company needs to run one first. We identify this at booking before scheduling.

  • A range is a freestanding or slide-in unit that includes both a cooktop surface and an oven below. A cooktop is a separate surface-only unit that drops into a countertop opening, typically paired with a wall oven. Gas range installation and gas cooktop installation involve the same gas line connection but different mounting scopes. For wall oven installation, see our wall oven installation page.

  • Yes. We install any gas range, electric range, or cooktop purchased from any retailer. No purchase required from us. Share the model at booking so we can check gas pressure requirements, cord configuration, and cutout dimensions before the visit.

  • An anti-tip bracket is a metal clip that anchors to the floor behind the range and engages the rear leveling leg. It prevents the range from tipping forward if weight is placed on the open oven door. It is required by current installation code on all freestanding ranges. We install it on every freestanding range job as a standard part of the scope.

  • Yes. Disconnection and removal of the old unit is included on every stove installation near me call. For additional appliance haul-away needs, see our appliance delivery and haul-away page.

  • Yes. For repair on an existing unit, see our range and stove repair page. For separate cooktop units, see our cooktop repair page.

Had our washing machine break mid-cycle on a Sunday. Within a few minutes of reaching out to them, the team at Wilson and Myers had contacted me with available times including that very evening, no additional fees for a weekend. The tech that arrived was really friendly and professional and got the job done quickly and below the amount I had prepared myself to pay. Will definitely use again if needed!
