Start here if your display is showing something. Thermador publishes no oven fault-code table. Its error-code page for ovens carries exactly two entries, and one of them is a software update.
So a Thermador oven error code list you found online was written by somebody other than Thermador. What the machine is telling you is real, but the meaning has to come from the oven, not a table.
Wilson & Myers handles Thermador oven repair and Thermador oven service across the Denver Metro Area. Thermador built in oven repair service reaches the same insured team, with a 100-day labor warranty.
Two entries. That is the whole vocabulary, and here it is in Thermador’s own terms.
The first is generic. An E followed by a number, with the control beeping, means an electronics fault. Press TIMERS or any key to stop the beeping, reset the oven, and call for service if it comes back.
The second is the useful one. E0211, E1601 and E0510 are Home Connect software update messages, not oven faults. A reader who sees E0510 and knows it is a Wi-Fi update stops hunting for a failed part.
Thermador’s own manual says the same thing in the same words. Its standing note is that a code not on its list may need a technician. That is a manufacturer telling you the display is a starting point rather than a diagnosis.
A Thermador speed oven does not show codes at all. It writes the problem out in English: Temperature Sensor Error, Humidity Sensor Error, or Temperature Error, each with a phone number. Touch the display and re-enter the settings, and if it returns it is ours.
Type your badge into a search box and you get retailer listings. The letters actually decode, and Thermador’s own manual covers are what decode them.
Masterpiece Collection, controlled by a touchscreen. A Thermador Masterpiece oven.
Professional Collection, a touchscreen plus two tactile knobs, one for mode and one for temperature. A Thermador Professional oven.
A double oven. Two thermal cavities, so a Thermador double oven repair is two ovens sharing a front.
A speed oven cavity in the stack. That is why the top cavity behaves like a microwave and the bottom one does not.
The door hinge side, left or right opening. It changes the access before it changes anything else.
So the POD, POS, MED and ME series prefixes tell us the collection and cavity count before a technician leaves the shop. A Thermador 30 inch wall oven in single, double and triple stacks all share that grammar.
Wall ovens in the current line are electric. There is no gas wall oven anywhere in Thermador’s model index. If your oven runs on gas it sits under a range, and belongs on our Thermador range repair page.
This is the most common broken-oven call we take that is not a broken oven, and Thermador documents it twice.
Your oven has two fans. The convection fan runs during convection modes and switches off when you open the door. The cooling fan runs during every cooking mode, and Thermador’s own words are that it may also run after the appliance is off.
Its troubleshooting table is blunter still. A cooling fan running with the oven off is normal, and there is no action required, until the oven has cooled.
The same goes for the broiler. Thermador states that it cycles on and off to match the temperature you set. Only a broiler that turns off prematurely and stays off needs service. The test is whether it comes back.
Two free fixes first, because between them they resolve a real share of these calls.
A locked door. If the door is locked and will not open even after cooling, the manual has a recovery. Turn the oven off at the circuit breaker, wait five minutes, turn it back on. Its website gives a different recovery for a latch that will not retract. One minute at the breaker, or run self-clean for two minutes and exit with the racks removed. Two documents, two timings, so try the five-minute version first and the shorter one if the symptom is the latch rather than the door.
A power cycle. A Thermador oven won’t turn on, a Thermador oven control panel not working and a Thermador self clean oven not working. All three deserve a breaker reset first.
Call us when the code returns, or when a Thermador oven not heating survives the reset. Call us for a Thermador oven temperature inaccurate against a separate thermometer. Call us for a Thermador oven door not closing, a Thermador oven light not working, or a Thermador oven broil not working.
Book online and read us the full model number. On this brand it settles the collection, the cavity count and the door side in one line.
Thermador splits convection three ways, and most pages treat it as one thing. The split is a diagnostic you can run yourself before anyone opens the machine.
Broil splits the same way. Thermador publishes Broil, Max Broil, Convection Broil and Max Convection Broil, and Max Broil uses a larger element. Which means a Thermador oven where ordinary broil works and Max Broil does not is a coherent complaint pointing at one of two elements.
One more thing about what you can see. Thermador prints the bake element as hidden in the component name itself. Open the door, find no element at the bottom, and your oven is normal.
This one is brand-specific, checkable, and on no competing page.
A Thermador steam oven measures the local air pressure on first use. It boils water at 212 degrees to find the right setting for where it stands. It holds that calibration afterwards.
Which means a steam oven that moved after installation is running someone else’s altitude. If yours came from a lower elevation, or the whole kitchen came with a house, that calibration needs redoing manually. Nothing about it is broken, and nobody tells owners it exists.
Thermador steam oven repair otherwise runs on the water side. The water tank, the hardness setting and descaling account for most of what goes wrong. That hardness setting depends on which utility bills you, not on the metro.
Thermador warming drawer repair is a small share of this page and a simple machine. Two current models, one of them panel-ready.
The rule worth knowing is a use limit rather than a fault. Thermador states plainly that you always start with hot food, and not to use the drawer to heat cold food, proofing yeast dough excepted. A drawer that never gets a cold plate hot is doing what the manual says it does.
Sabbath Mode carries its own restriction here: only the MED temperature setting is available while it is active.
The display first, in whatever language your machine uses, then the free resets. Then the mode-by-mode test, because on this brand which mode fails narrows the part faster than any meter reading.
Access comes next. A wall oven lifts out of a cabinet opening, and on a double or triple stack that is a two-person job planned in advance.
The parts that come up are the bake element and the broil element, the convection fan motor, the oven thermostat and the temperature probe. Then the oven control board, the oven light socket, the door hinge and the door gasket.
Thermador oven bake element repair and Thermador oven door hinge repair are the two most frequent. A Thermador wall oven not heating and a Thermador gas oven not heating are different jobs on different fuels. The gas side brings the gas igniter and the gas safety valve into it.
Two components we will name honestly. A thermal fuse, a high-limit thermostat and a self-clean door latch are all parts we replace. Thermador names none of them in the documents we hold. So we will not quote you a part number we cannot source, and we will show you what we found instead.
Thermador single oven repair, Thermador double oven repair and Thermador wall oven repair are all this page. So are Thermador steam oven repair, Thermador speed oven repair and Thermador warming drawer repair. Coverage across every brand sits on our wall oven repair and oven repair pages.
The rest of the cooking line is on our Thermador cooking appliances page, and the brand starts from Thermador appliance repair. Every repair carries a 100-day labor warranty, and we source Thermador parts through national supplier networks and manufacturer contracts.
There is no table to look them up in. Thermador publishes two entries for ovens: a generic E-plus-number electronics fault, and E0211, E1601 and E0510, which are Home Connect software updates rather than faults.
Reset at the breaker first, since an electronics fault often clears. Then note which mode fails, because Convection Bake, True Convection and Max Broil each use different hardware. That answer narrows the part before a technician arrives.
A door lock that will not release. A cooling fan that runs after shutdown and worries the owner. Inaccurate temperature, and elements failing one mode at a time. The fan one is not a fault at all.
Put a separate oven thermometer on the middle rack and compare it against the setting once preheating finishes. A consistent offset across modes points at calibration or the thermostat; a failure in only one mode points at that mode’s element.
Yes to both. Thermador builds single and double steam ovens, and we service them. Be aware the machine calibrated itself to local air pressure on first use, so one that moved elevation needs recalibrating manually.
Yes, and it is a large share of this page. A double oven is two cavities with two sets of elements behind one front, so one cavity failing tells us where to look immediately.
Yes, in a standard and a custom-panel version. The most common complaint is a drawer that will not heat cold food, which is Thermador’s own stated use limit rather than a fault.
It moves with the part and the stack, so one figure would be a guess. A door hinge and a hidden bake element on a triple oven are not the same job. We diagnose first, quote second.
Usually yes. The oven is built into your cabinetry, so replacing it is joinery as well as appliance cost, and most failures here are a single component. We will say so plainly when the numbers point the other way.
We publish no figure, because Thermador does not, and every number circulating online is unsourced. Door sealing and how often the self-clean cycle runs matter more than the badge.
The whole metro, from the city out through the surrounding suburbs. Coverage for the city itself sits on our appliance repair in Denver page. Searching Thermador oven repair near me or Thermador oven repair service near me reaches the same team.
E0211, E1601 and E0510 are Home Connect software updates, not faults. Anything else, reset at the breaker first, then tell us which mode fails.
