Start with the check you cannot run. On a Bosch the bake element is concealed under the oven floor, so nobody can see whether it failed. Wilson & Myers repairs built-in Bosch wall ovens, single and double, across the Denver Metro Area, and our technicians are insured.
A range as a whole appliance belongs on our Bosch range repair page, and the cooking surface itself on Bosch cooktop repair.
Bosch puts the lower element under the oven bottom, and credits that design for one of the fastest preheat times on the market. Because you cannot see it, the useful question is which mode stopped working. Modes run on different hardware.
Plain convection means two elements, upper and lower, plus a fan. What Bosch sells as Genuine European Convection is a third element behind the back wall. Its manuals call that Convection Multi-Rack and its buying guide calls it Convection Pro.
Three names, one piece of hardware, standard on 800 Series and Benchmark. The 500 Series manual documents it on select models.
So a Bosch oven not heating up in convection while ordinary bake still works points at that third element or the fan. A Bosch oven not working in every mode is another job.
Three entries. Bosch’s ovens and microwaves error-code page carries the whole published vocabulary, and there is no E-code table for Bosch wall ovens in it.
Type Bosch oven E305 into a search box and you get confident answers. So do E305 Bosch oven, E115 Bosch oven and E118 Bosch oven. None appears in what Bosch publishes for its ovens or its ranges.
Bosch oven error code E305 and Bosch oven error code E118 have no Bosch definition. A Bosch oven error code list of thirty entries was written by somebody else.
One naming point carries over from Bosch’s range documentation, where the codes are numbered. Lowercase e302 is an overheated power board and uppercase E302 an overheated control panel. Two parts one character apart, and the full table sits on Bosch range repair.
This is what separates a wall oven visit from other appliance calls. The oven is bolted into a cabinet opening at chest height, its wiring behind it and no working space at the front.
Almost every repair past a light bulb starts by unbolting the trim and drawing the appliance forward. A double is taller and heavier in that same opening, and Bosch builds every double in this line at 30 inch.
Where the rating plate sits depends on the hinge. A bottom-hinged single oven carries it on the left of the door trim, a side-hinged one opposite the hinge. On a double it is the lower cavity.
Bosch does not print the series on the front, and most customers do not know theirs. Width settles it, because the three do not overlap the way you would expect.
A 500 Series single oven. Stainless steel knobs, one halogen light, no probe
An 800 Series single oven. Touch control, two halogen lights, a telescopic rack
Any of the three, and the only width Benchmark is built in
Every Bosch double wall oven in this line is 30 inch
Up to 11 on the 500 and the 800. Benchmark carries 13, EcoChef among them
What changes with the series is what there is to fail. A 500 Series has knobs and one bulb, an 800 Series a touch panel and two. Benchmark carries a full color touch panel with side lights.
Air Fry and Fast Preheat are charted on the 800 and Benchmark only. A Bosch oven 800 Series brings a telescopic rack, where the 500 Series has neither that nor a probe.
EcoChef reads like a cleaning feature and is not. Bosch defines it as a cooking mode that needs the probe plugged in.
This one changes the diagnosis, and nothing on the front tells you. On a 500 Series double wall oven the upper cavity carries the third element and the lower cavity does not.
So “the bottom oven bakes unevenly” can be a two-element cavity behaving as built. The same complaint about the top cavity points at the third element or the fan. On 800 Series and Benchmark doubles, both cavities have it.
We ask which cavity before the visit. Two identical looking doors can be two different repairs, and the part we bring depends on the answer.
A customer whose probe failed has already told us which oven they own. Bosch charts no probe on the 500 Series, a Temperature Probe on the 800 and AutoProbe on Benchmark.
AutoProbe is the Benchmark tier name and nothing more that Bosch publishes. It documents no functional difference between the two, so we call it naming rather than invent a capability gap. The probe works in Bake, Roast and every convection mode but Convection Broil.
Home Connect narrows an oven down the same way. Bosch charts WiFi with Home Connect on 500 and 800 Series single wall ovens, and its pairing pages cover those two.
Everywhere else, Bosch’s answer to an error is to reset at the breaker and try again. During Self Clean that changes. Its instruction is to disconnect the appliance from the power supply and call a qualified technician.
Self Clean is charted on every series, so no Bosch wall oven in this line avoids it. There is no steam-clean or catalytic alternative in the US line.
Telescopic racks ship on the 800 Series and Benchmark, so the higher trims carry that risk. The door stays locked until the cavity cools, and the light stays off during a cycle.
QuietClose is Bosch’s name for the dampened hinge that guides the door shut without slamming. SideOpening is the other door it builds, hinged at the side so you do not lean across the cavity.
Hinges earn a section because of one symptom that reads as electrical. Bosch’s own troubleshooting covers an oven light that will not turn off. It says to check the door for an obstruction, then whether the hinge is bent.
A door that will not close properly is the same family, and Bosch sends you to the seals and the hinges first. Hinges are one of its parts categories and the door repair we do most.
Bosch is not silent about altitude, and its answer names our state. All three wall oven manuals carry the same paragraph. They send high-altitude bakers to the Extension Service at Colorado State University in Fort Collins.
Bosch treats baking at this elevation as a recipe question rather than an appliance fault. Nobody needs a technician for that, and we would rather say so than sell a visit.
Electric wall ovens carry no altitude derating from Bosch. We searched all three manuals for altitude and elevation, and that baking note is the only hit.
Gas is the exception, and an installation question rather than a baking one. Bosch publishes a threshold and an arithmetic rule, and both sit on Bosch range repair.
Free checks first, and two of them settle it outright.
Then it is our job. Call when the code returns after the reset. Call when a Bosch oven not turning on stays dark, or a Bosch oven not heating survives the list.
We have seen that concealed element send Denver homeowners through a long stretch of Bosch oven troubleshooting first. It is the one part the design will not let them check.
Book online with the E-Nr from the rating plate ready. Tell us whether it is a single or a double, and which cavity failed.
Bosch says power board and user interface. Control board appears nowhere in its oven and range documents, so we do not use it when we are quoting Bosch.
Bosch sells its oven spares in named categories, and the list is a fair map of what fails. Heating parts, hinges, motors, fan parts, seals, doors and housings.
On a visit it comes down to the concealed bake element, the 12-pass broil element and the third element behind the back wall. Then the convection fan, the temperature sensor and the self-clean door lock.
One honest note about naming. Thermal fuse, relay board, RTD and door spring are industry words rather than Bosch words, and appear nowhere in its corpus. We show you what we found instead of a name that does not exist.
Bosch oven repairs, Bosch oven repair service and built-in oven service all reach the same team. Coverage across every brand sits on our oven repair and wall oven repair pages.
Burners and igniters are on Bosch cooktop repair. Our Bosch cooking appliances page carries the rest of the line, and the brand starts from Bosch appliance repair.
Every repair carries a 100-day labor warranty, and we source Bosch parts through national supplier networks and manufacturer contracts.
Bosch publishes three entries for ovens, and two are simply an E with a number. There is no wall oven table, so the number is meant to be read out to a technician.
The bake element is concealed under the oven floor, so looking inside proves nothing. Note which mode fails, because bake, broil and convection use different elements.
That is the cooling fan, and Bosch’s own troubleshooting chart calls it normal. It runs during cooking modes and can keep running after the oven is off, until the cavity cools.
No. It starts and stops the oven and reports that a program has finished. Bosch’s Home Connect codes describe the app, not the appliance.
Select the mode and set the temperature. Preheat times differ because this bake element is concealed, and Bosch says that is normal. Self Clean then burns soil off over two, three or four hours, racks out first.
It depends on which part failed and which series you own. A hinge and a power board are not the same job, so we diagnose first and quote second.
We publish no lifespan figure, because Bosch does not, and every number online is unsourced. Bosch charts 24, 27 and 30 inch, so a replacement has to match the opening you already have.
Bosch oven repair near me and Bosch oven repair service near me reach this same team. So does Bosch oven repair Denver, from Denver out through Aurora, Lakewood and Highlands Ranch.
The bake element sits concealed under the oven floor, so you cannot see whether it failed. We can, and we bring the part.
