Kenmore Laundry Appliances We Service

Kenmore Laundry Repair Across Denver Metro

Kenmore’s current lineup still lists washers and dryers, and older Kenmore Elite pairs keep running in Denver homes. For Kenmore washer and dryer repair, each machine has its own page with us. The plate number on it points to the right Kenmore guide.

Two Machines, Two Pages, One Laundry Room

A washer and dryer standing side by side still take two pages, and a stacked laundry center splits the same way.

  • Washers: the 4.5 cu ft front-load, the 2.2 cu ft compact and three top-loads, agitator or impeller. Older Kenmore and Kenmore Elite washers join them on our Kenmore washer page.
  • Dryers: 7.0 cu ft electric and gas models, the Accela Steam front-loads of 8.0 cu ft and the ventless 4.0 cu ft compact. Older Elite dryers join them on our Kenmore dryer page.
  • Laundry centers: one cabinet holding two machines. The washer half goes to the washer page and the dryer half to the dryer page.
  • Dryer ducts: the duct inside your wall is not part of the dryer. Cleaning it is a separate service of ours, dryer vent cleaning.

Where the Washer and Dryer Meet

A few Kenmore facts belong to the pair rather than to one machine. Kenmore prints each of them in its own guides.

  • Steam dryers and the cold-water line

Kenmore’s 8.0 cu ft steam dryers take cold water from the washer’s supply through a Y connector. The older Elite steam dryers ask for the same.

  • Cold rooms

The front-load washer guide rules out rooms that drop below 60°F. The guide for the 4.4 and 4.5 cu ft top-loads warns that water left in the valve, pump and hoses can freeze. The full-size dryer guides set their floor at 33°F.

  • The compact pair

The 2.2 cu ft washer and the 4.0 cu ft dryer both print the prefix 263. The dryer is ventless and condensing, so there is no duct behind it.

Kenmore or Kenmore Elite: What the Plate Says

Kenmore’s current lineup has no Kenmore Elite washer or dryer, and no PRO or licensed laundry at all. Older Elite machines are still in service. Kenmore’s records keep the 5.2 cu ft Steam Treat washers 26-41072 and 26-41073 and the 9.0 cu ft Accela Steam dryers, for example. They go to the same two pages.

The plate holds the number we need. Kenmore’s site lists a washer as 26-29162, while its plate begins 405.2916. Current laundry plates print 405 or 263; older ones print 110, 402, 417 or 796. Our Kenmore page explains how the plate works on every Kenmore appliance.

One Year Each, and a Longer Term on One Part

Kenmore’s warranty page gives washers and dryers one year on the appliance from the original sale. Inside that year, a covered defect goes to Kenmore’s warranty service, through the store that sold it, with proof of sale. Past it, the repair is ours.

  • Washer drive motor

Lifetime, for washers purchased from February 4, 2018. Kenmore installs it free in year one; after that it supplies the motor and the labor is yours.

  • Plate and installation

Kenmore excludes service on a machine with a missing or altered plate, and damage from an installation not done to code.

  • Household use

Use outside a private household cuts washer and dryer coverage to 90 days.

When to Call Wilson & Myers

Start with what only you can gather: the plate number on each machine involved, the receipt, and the first checks on its page. Those checks come from Kenmore’s own guides. On a stacked laundry center, note which half stopped.

Beyond those checks, Kenmore laundry repair is our job anywhere in the Denver Metro Area. Our insured technicians work on gas and electric dryers alike. We source parts through national supplier networks and manufacturer contracts.

In my experience, the plate matters more than the badge, because Kenmore’s laundry codes change from one plate family to the next. Every paid repair carries our 100-day labor warranty on the work on your invoice. Then book a repair online. Name both machines if both need us.

Kenmore Washer and Dryer Repair FAQ

  • Who makes Kenmore washer and dryer models?

No single company, and Kenmore publishes no list. No source we found names a maker for the 405 and 263 plates on current machines. Older plates such as 110, 417 and 796 belong to other source families, and CPSC recall notices name the maker for a few. Either way, we work from the Kenmore guide for your plate.

  • Can you look at my Kenmore washer and dryer on the same visit?

Yes. Name both machines when you book and give us both plate numbers. Each plate points to its own Kenmore guide and parts, so we need both.

  • Are any older Kenmore washers or dryers under recall?

Some are. Kenmore Elite top-loaders, Kenmore Elite gas dryers and some laundry centers appear in CPSC recalls. Our washer page and our dryer page list the recalls we found by model; confirm yours at cpsc.gov. We do not repair a recalled unit; the notice says where its remedy comes from.

  • Does Kenmore still sell laundry centers?

Not in its current lineup. Kenmore’s records keep older ones, such as the 26-61712 and 26-81452, and we repair both halves of them.

  • Does the purchase date matter for a Kenmore laundry repair?

It decides who handles the claim. Kenmore’s one-year term and the washer motor’s lifetime term both run from the original sale, and a claim needs proof of it. Outside them, the repair is ours.
