Kenmore Kitchen Appliance Repair Across Denver Metro
Kenmore still sells refrigerators and built-in dishwashers. Many of the refrigerators have an ice maker built in. Freezers and garbage disposals are older classes no longer in Kenmore’s own lineup, and we repair the ones still in Denver homes. Each machine has its own page with us, and the plate on it decides which Kenmore guide and warranty apply.
Which Page Covers Your Machine
Each of our pages takes one kind of machine, whatever the fault. One rule crosses two of them. A cold freezer that makes no ice is an ice maker job. A warm freezer with no ice starts as a cooling fault, on the refrigerator page.
- Refrigerators: top-freezer, bottom-freezer, side-by-side and French door models, garage-ready ones included, on our Kenmore refrigerator page. The freezer section of any of them belongs there too, and so does a water dispenser that stops.
- Ice makers: the ice makers and ice dispensers inside those refrigerators, on our page for Kenmore ice makers. The kits Kenmore names for models sold ice-maker ready go there too.
- Dishwashers: built-ins in 24-inch and 18-inch widths, both Kenmore Elite families included, on our Kenmore dishwasher page.
- Freezers: no longer in Kenmore’s own lineup. Stand-alone uprights and chests still in use go to our page for older Kenmore freezers.
- Garbage disposals: Kenmore no longer sells these either. Disposers still in use go to our page for older Kenmore disposers.
Same Cabinet, Same Prefix, Different Page
Some Kenmore kitchen machines are easy to file under the wrong page. The number on the model plate sorts out most of them.
- Freezer section or stand-alone freezer
A freezer compartment or drawer inside a Kenmore refrigerator is part of that refrigerator. Only a separate upright or chest takes the freezer page.
- One prefix, two machines
The prefix, the three digits that open the plate number, does not name the appliance. 263 sits on most current dishwashers and on one bottom-freezer refrigerator, the 46-75472.
- 587 on an older plate
Kenmore printed it on dishwashers and on disposers alike. Read the rest of the number, and look at the machine, before you choose a page.
- Licensed compact or full-size Kenmore
Compact and mini refrigerators and the beverage center are sold under the Kenmore name by a licensee and have no page here. Kenmore’s warranty page gives licensed compacts one year, replacing a defective unit. Outside that year, we repair them too. The prefix alone will not tell you: the licensed compact 46-99079 prints 896, as the garage-ready top freezers do.
Reading the Badge and the Plate
Among the current Kenmore kitchen machines we repair, the Elite badge appears only on dishwashers, the 42 dBA 22-14682 and 22-14692 model families. Older Elite refrigerators, upright freezers and disposers are still in service. Each takes the page for its machine. Kenmore has stopped selling its PRO line, though PRO refrigerator and freezer terms remain on Kenmore’s warranty page.
We need the plate number, not the retail number. Kenmore’s site lists a retail number such as 46-71332, while the plate on that refrigerator reads 899.7133 plus more digits. On a current machine we repair, the prefix points to a Kenmore guide, and no source we found names who built it.
Kenmore Prints a Separate Warranty for Each Machine
No single Kenmore warranty covers this branch. Each term below comes from Kenmore’s warranty page or the machine’s own guide, and Kenmore wants proof of the original sale for any claim.
During a term, a covered defect goes to Kenmore’s warranty service, through the store that sold it. After that, the repair is ours. So is anything a term excludes. Kenmore also excludes service on any machine whose model and serial plate is missing or altered, so leave it in place.
- Refrigerators
Kenmore’s warranty page gives one year on the whole appliance. An ice maker inside one has no term of its own, so the refrigerator’s year covers it.
- Dishwashers
One year on the appliance. Those bought from February 4, 2018 also carry lifetime cover for the stainless tub and inner door if rust-through makes them leak. Labor is excluded after year one.
- Kenmore Elite dishwashers
Kenmore’s warranty page adds two years of parts coverage and five years of rust cover on the racks. The 22-14682 listings show a single year of parts and labor instead.
- Freezers and disposers
These are older machines, so the term depends on the guide and the purchase date. A Kenmore disposer claim is a replacement through the store that sold it, not a repair at home.
When to Call Wilson & Myers
Two things only you can find come first. Copy the full model number from the plate, prefix included, and find the receipt. Then try the first checks on your machine’s page, drawn from Kenmore’s own guides.

Which page covers the ice maker in my Kenmore refrigerator?
It belongs on our Kenmore ice maker page, whatever style of refrigerator holds it. A warm freezer changes that. Kenmore’s guides expect a cold freezer before the ice maker produces, so start on the refrigerator page.
Do you repair Kenmore trash compactors?
Yes, the older Kenmore and Kenmore Elite units still in use, though Kenmore no longer sells them. Book one with the full plate number ready.
Are any older Kenmore kitchen machines under recall?
Some older Kenmore dishwashers, refrigerators and disposers are. Each of those pages lists the recalls we found by model; confirm yours at cpsc.gov. We do not repair a recalled unit; the recall notice names the remedy.
Can one booking cover two Kenmore kitchen machines?
Yes. Name both when you book and send both plate numbers, because each number decides its own guide and parts.
Do I need my receipt for a Kenmore warranty claim?
Keep it. Kenmore asks for proof of the original sale, and the purchase date shows whether any term still runs. Once none does, the repair is ours.
