Bosch currently lists 58 dishwasher models in the US, and they do not all report a fault the same way. What your machine can tell us depends on which series it is. We repair all of them across Denver and the surrounding metro.
The ladder runs 100, 100 Plus, 300, 500, 800 and Benchmark. The step that matters most on a repair call is not the wash system. It is whether the panel can show you a fault code at all.
Bosch’s own 100 Series manual has no numeric codes in its troubleshooting table. A blocked drain, a plug left in a new garbage disposal and a closed supply valve all raise one indication. Four vertical LEDs light at once, and the panel cannot narrow it further.
An 800 Series or Benchmark shows E:61-02 on a display instead, and the cause narrows to one path. That single difference decides how much we can settle by phone before a technician drives out.
FlexSpace tines get misread constantly. They are fold-down lower-rack tines, called flip tines in the manual, and only eight models have them. Those eight are scattered across the 300, 500 and 800 Series.
Four codes on Bosch’s error-code page name the zeolite container outright: E07, E10, E2120 and E2130. A machine can only raise them if it has that container. Bosch’s own spec tables say which machines do.
CrystalDry appears on exactly 21 of the 58 US models. That is all 18 of the 800 Series and all three Benchmark models, and nothing below them.
The whole 500 Series is out too. Six of its eight models dry with AutoAir and the other two use PureDry, so no 500 Series has a zeolite chamber. Bosch’s owner guide for the 100, 300 and 500 Series never mentions zeolite, CrystalDry, salt or a softener.
One trap inside Bosch’s own list is worth knowing. E07 carries the same published text as E2130, and E10 carries the same text as E2120. The pairs invert, so anyone matching short codes to long codes in order gets these two backwards.
Bosch calls it CrystalDry, Crystal Dry or Zeolite across its own documents
Bosch warns that the zeolite container outlet gets hot, so never touch it
Only the 800 Series and Benchmark carry the hardware these four codes describe
Bosch publishes two different causes for the same zeolite code, and the gap decides whether you buy a part.
| Bosch source | Published cause | Published remedy |
|---|---|---|
| Error-code page, listed as E2130 | The zeolite fan motor is defective | Reset the breaker, then call |
| 800 Series owner manual, listed as E:21-30 | Dishware covers the zeolite intake opening | Rearrange the dishware |
One Bosch document sends you to a motor. The other sends you to move a plate. Only one of those is free to try.
We check the loading first on any 800 Series or Benchmark showing that code. The same manual tells owners to keep dishware clear of the zeolite intake and outlet openings.
A technician who has read only the web page will quote a fan motor. Reading both Bosch sources first is what keeps that off your invoice.
Bosch writes dishwasher faults in three shapes, and each shape lives in a different Bosch document.
Bosch never prints all three together and never states that one equals another. So read us the exact string on your panel, punctuation included. Guessing the translation is how a diagnosis goes wrong before anyone opens the door.
Two entries exist in one place only. E:92-10, a lower spray arm not correctly fitted, appears in the 800 Series manual and has no counterpart on the web page. E:61-60 reads as a PowerControl spray arm reference fault on the web page, and as a bare technical error in the manual.
PowerControl sits on 12 of the 58 models: all three Benchmark and nine of the 18 800 Series machines. The standard 800 manual lists E:61-60 and E:92-10. The ADA-height 800 machines have no PowerControl arm, and their manual carries a shorter table without either code.
Each row names the string, the Bosch document it comes from, and which machines can show it. Bosch publishes no per-code series list, so the series column is read from the hardware each code names. Its US page also carries no E08, E11, E13 or E26, so a code in that shape did not come off Bosch’s list.
| Code | Bosch document | Which Bosch | Next step |
|---|---|---|---|
| E15 | Error-code page | Any series, though a 100 shows lights instead | Shut the water off and call |
| E:31-00 | 800 Series manual | Models with a display | Close the supply valve and call |
| E24 | Error-code page | Any series | Check the air gap and drain hose, then call |
| E:61-02 | Display and owner manual | Models with a display | Check the drain pump cover, then call |
| E:61-03 | 800 Series manual | Models with a display | Remove the disposal knockout plug, then call |
| E:21-30 | 800 Series manual | 800 Series and Benchmark only | Rearrange the dishware first |
| E07 | Error-code page | 800 Series and Benchmark only | Book a technician |
| E10 | Error-code page | 800 Series and Benchmark only | Book a technician |
| E:61-60 | Standard 800 manual | The 12 PowerControl models | Book a technician |
| E:92-10 | 800 Series manual only | Full-height 800 Series | Refit the lower spray arm at six o’clock |
| E12 | Error-code page | Any series | Descale, then call if it returns |
| E27 | Error-code page | Any series | Call an electrician, not a repair technician |
| Four LEDs lit | 100 Series manual | 100 Series | Call, because the panel cannot narrow it |
Two of these already have full answers on our site, and this page will not repeat them. Our Bosch E15 guide covers the leak-protection trip. Our not-draining guide walks the filter, the pump cover and the hose.
Read those first, then book a visit if the code comes back.
AutoAir is a 500 Series feature on six models. It releases the door at the end of drying to let fresh air in. When it stops working, every cause Bosch publishes is about the install or the door, not a failed part.
This lands hardest in remodelled Denver kitchens. A tight panel install can stop AutoAir without a single part failing. We have seen a new countertop leave the door no clearance to open. To the owner it reads as a broken drying cycle.
InfoLight projects a beam onto the floor so you know a quiet machine is running. Bosch lists it on 31 of the 58 models, all top-control or fully integrated. Front-control models have a visible panel instead and do not carry it.
A flashing beam is a published signal. Bosch’s manual says it means the door is not completely closed, which points straight at the latch, the lock and the micro switch.
A missing beam is not evidence of a fault by itself. Bosch publishes three innocent reasons for it.
A dark floor on its own is not evidence of a failed control board, and Bosch publishes no such link. TimeLight, which projects the time remaining, is a separate feature on four models.
Most Bosch dishwashers stand 33 7/8 inches tall. The SG platform is 24 inches wide at 32 1/16 inches tall, and the SP platform is 17 5/8 inches wide at that same height. Bosch files both under one category.
Same short height, opposite answer on the salt dispenser. An ADA 800 is not a full-height 800 with the legs wound down, and the manual Bosch ships with it says so.
Fit matters on a service call. The cutout for a standard 24-inch model is 33 7/8 by 24 by 24 inches. A short machine cannot back-fill that opening without filler, and outlet hose lengths vary across the range.
AquaStop closes the inlet and runs the drain pump when it senses a leak, even with nobody home. AquaStop Plus adds a second hose around the inlet hose on five models. Bosch publishes no reset for either, so a trip means shut the water off and call.
Denver Water’s 2025 report puts average hardness at 89 mg/L, with a range of 48 to 116. That converts to roughly 5.2 grains per gallon. Aurora Water publishes 136 ppm, ranging from 87 to 198.
Bosch prints its own hardness bands, H00 through H07, on a mmol/L scale. Convert Denver Water’s average onto that scale and it lands in H00, the softest band. There Bosch says you do not need dishwasher salt. Aurora’s average converts to H01, and its published peak reaches H03.
So the Metro is not one number, and which utility serves your street changes the answer. We do not extrapolate either figure to districts drawing on Denver Basin groundwater, because they publish their own.
The hardware answer is just as split. Nine of the 58 models have a built-in softener.
For cloudy glassware, Bosch’s own published remedies point elsewhere first: rinse aid dosing, detergent choice, a dirty filter or a scaled spray arm. The genuine limescale code is E12, and Bosch’s remedy for it is to descale the machine. Bosch also asks that a dishwasher be winterized by a professional if a house sits empty through freezing weather.
Some of this you can settle yourself in ten minutes, and we would rather you did. Work through these before you book anything.
Past that point it becomes ours. Bosch routes the door latch, the door lock, the micro switch and the hinges to a professional for safety reasons. A tripped leak-protection system is the same call, because no reset exists to try.
Our technicians are insured and work across the Denver Metro Area. We diagnose first and quote second, and you decide before any part is ordered. Book a Bosch dishwasher repair and tell us the code you wrote down.
This page sits under Bosch kitchen appliances, inside our wider Bosch appliance repair coverage. For other makes, start at our general dishwasher repair page.
The questions Denver Metro owners ask us most, answered from Bosch’s own documents rather than from the repair forums.
Bosch’s error-code page puts E24 on the drain path: a loose drain pump cover, a kinked hose or a blocked air gap. Our not-draining guide covers those checks in order.
The safety switch has found water in the base and the leak protection has tripped. Bosch’s instruction is to turn off the water inflow and contact support. Our Bosch E15 guide explains the rest.
Bosch’s error-code page lists E25 with the drain family. Its 800 Series manual carries E:61-03, which names a still-plugged garbage disposal, a kinked drain hose or a missing high loop.
Bosch names the door latch, the door lock and the micro switch first, and routes all three to a professional. A house supply voltage that is too low raises E27, which is an electrician’s job rather than ours.
On a 100 Series that is the only fault language the panel has. Four vertical LEDs lit together cover several unrelated causes at once, so the machine cannot tell you which one applies.
Convert Denver Water’s published average onto Bosch’s hardness scale and it lands in the softest band. There Bosch says salt is not needed. Aurora Water’s figures sit higher, so the answer depends on your utility.
We diagnose first and quote second, and you decide before any part is ordered.
Bosch publishes no service life, and the figures circulating online are unsourced. What Bosch does commit to is spare parts for up to 15 years from the date a model reached the market.
We work across Denver, Aurora, Lakewood and Centennial, plus the rest of the Denver Metro Area. Every repair carries a 100-day labor warranty, and we source Bosch parts through national supplier networks and manufacturer contracts.
Which codes your machine can show depends on its series. Give us the code exactly as displayed, with the model number, and we will bring the right parts.
