Width is usually why the machine gets bought. A Midea 24 inch washer and dryer combo fits a closet, a bathroom alcove or a kitchen run that no full-size pair fits.
In service terms a Midea washer and dryer combo is one appliance, not two machines sharing a cabinet. Its faults are hybrid. A wash-side symptom can trace to a dry-side component, so we diagnose it as its own platform.
The drying half is where owners get caught. There is no vent, so the machine condenses the moisture and sends that water out through the drain instead. A load that finishes wet can therefore be a drain question rather than a heat question, and both halves share that one drain.

- Stacked: The pair comes apart in sequence, so the dryer has to come down before the washer opens up.
- Closet: Bringing that dryer down in a narrow space is a planned two-person step, not something to discover on arrival.
- Garage: Midea prints the same warning in the washer and the dryer manuals, that neither belongs where it meets weather or freezing temperatures.

My laundry comes out of the dryer still damp. Is the dryer the problem?
Not always, because a dryer can only remove the water the washer left behind. Pull a load straight from the washer. Heavy and dripping points at the spin, which is a washer question. Evenly damp points at the machine that dried it, and our dryer repair page covers that side.
Does an error code mean the same thing on my Midea washer and my Midea dryer?
No, and this catches people out. Midea codes belong to the platform that prints them, so a code on one machine may not exist on the machine beside it. Can you service a stacked pair without unstacking it?
Sometimes, and it depends on which machine failed. Dryer work is often reachable in place. Washer work under a stacked dryer means bringing the dryer down first, a planned two-person step.
The breaker in my laundry closet keeps tripping. Is it the washer or the dryer?
Run each machine on its own and note what happens.
- Run the washer alone and watch whether the breaker trips.
- Run the dryer alone and watch for the same thing.
- If both trip it when run alone, the circuit is the suspect, and Midea asks for the washer to have its own outlet.
- If only one trips it, that machine is the suspect.
