We repair Amana gas, electric coil and radiant smoothtop ranges, cooktop and oven alike, including the 20-inch models, plus the hood above the range. Amana's manuals differ by family, so we start from the model number.
An Amana stove that will not light, heat or bake is one appliance with two pages behind it here. The cooktop on top and the oven below have different parts and different checks, and the hood above has a third page. Here, Amana cooking appliance repair starts from the symptom.
Every current Amana range is freestanding, so the cooktop and the oven share one cabinet, one plate and one warranty. Each half has its own page.
Amana’s current microwaves are all over-the-range models, and we do not repair them, so please do not book one with us.
Refrigerators and dishwashers sit on the Amana kitchen appliances page; every other branch starts from our main Amana page.
Amana’s current ranges come in three cooktop types and two kinds of oven control. Amana’s current records tie the prefix to the fuel. Every AGR and AGG model is gas; every AER, ACR, AEP and AFCS model is electric.
Amana’s range manuals we read print no code table. A message on a display is read against that model’s own manual, so have the model number ready when you book.
Two current models are 20-inch ranges: the AEP222VA, electric with coil elements, and the AGG222VD, gas with sealed burners. The range page lists their plate spots.
Sealed burners on every AGR and AGG model.
Coil elements on the ACR, AFCS and AEP models.
Elements under a glass top on the AER models.
The AFCS2530T, AEP222VA, AGR4203MN and AGG222VD set the oven with a knob.
The ACR4303, AER, AGR6303MM, AGR6603 and AGR5330BA models use Amana’s Easy Touch electronic controls.
Amana’s warranty gives one year of parts and labor on every current range. None of the texts we read adds a longer term for any part. The 2023 texts count the year from delivery. Older texts count from purchase.
A fault in the first year goes to Amana’s warranty service, through the contact printed on your Amana warranty. We will point you there. Once the year is up, the repair is yours to buy and ours to do.
Amana’s 2023 texts, filed against most current ranges, say an outside servicer or third-party parts will not void the warranty. Damage they cause is excluded. Older texts without that sentence cover the AGR6303MM, the AEP222VA and the AGR5330BA. Amana files most AER models and the AGR6603SF against such a text as well.
Three lines in these texts catch cooking owners. Oven light bulbs count as consumables. Conversion between natural gas and propane is never warranty work under the 2022 and 2023 texts. The 2013 text on the AEP222VA and AGR5330BA voids the warranty if the factory serial number is altered or removed.
How Amana handles a propane conversion is on the range page.
Neither record covers a current Amana range. CPSC 99-164 covers the AGDS901E and AGDS901WW slide-in gas ranges, whose self-clean lock could release early; CPSC says not to use self-clean.
CPSC 01-236 covers ACF3315A, ACF3335A and ACF3375A self-clean gas ranges in listed serial ranges. Broil and self-clean can produce high carbon monoxide and overheat the storage drawer. CPSC says to stop using both functions.
CPSC lists a free remedy for these units. We check your plate against both records before quoting a repair. The range page gives the serial ranges and where each tag sits.
We still repair the older Amana cooktops and built-in wall ovens in Denver Metro homes, the AWO6313SF and AWO6317SF among them. Book them like a range.
Before booking, note whether the cooktop, the oven or both have stopped, and whether the range runs on gas or electricity. Then read the model number off the plate. Look first at the storage or broiler drawer opening, then at the frame behind the oven door.
If you smell gas, stop and follow the gas safety steps printed in your Amana manual before anything else.
Past those checks, the work is ours. Our insured technicians repair gas and electric Amana ranges, knob and touch models alike, cooktop and oven. We source parts through national supplier networks and manufacturer contracts. Every paid repair carries our 100-day labor warranty on the work on your invoice.
I usually ask whether it is gas or electric first, because that decides which Amana manual and which parts the visit needs. When you are ready, book a repair online. Have the model number to hand.
Can one visit look at both the cooktop and the oven?
Yes. They are one appliance, so the same visit can look at both. Name every symptom when you book, so the technician knows where to start.
Why should I clean gently around the plate on an Amana range?
Amana’s range manuals warn that scrubbing may remove the numbers. Its warranty texts exclude a range whose model or serial number is removed or unreadable. The recall checks run on those numbers too.
Where do I start if my Amana range shows a code?
On the Amana range page, which sets out the steps Amana prints for F codes. Where Amana prints a step, it sits in that model’s manual, so have the model number ready.
Do you repair older Amana ranges as well as current ones?
Yes. Amana’s documents still name older freestanding and slide-in ranges, such as the AES6603SF slide-in, and we work from the guide that matches yours. Book them like any range, with the model number.
Tell us the model number and what stopped: the range cooktop, the oven or the range hood above it. The model number tells us which manual applies.
