LG range repair and LG stove repair are the same call, and we start by asking which fuel yours runs on. LG ships gas, electric and dual fuel versions of one appliance, and the codes, the ignition and the circuit all differ. This page covers LG range and oven repair where the oven sits in the range rather than the wall. It sits inside our LG appliance repair section.
LG publishes two different code lists for one range, on two branches of the same support page. The electric and gas ranges share a single F-code list. The radiant ceramic glass cooktop has six codes of its own, with different remedies.
The split matters because the first action differs. LG opens the remedy for sixteen F-codes with the CLEAR/OFF key, and starts at the breaker for the rest. The cooktop set starts at the Power ON/OFF button.

The numbers pair by cavity, in LG’s own wording. F1 and F2 name the upper oven thermistor, F4 and F5 the lower one. F10 and F20 are the same door lock failure, upper and lower.
LG does not fit one control panel either. It calls them Smooth Press Controls on the LREN6323YE and SmoothTouch Glass Controls on the double ovens. Find the key LG names on the panel you actually have.
The cooktop list is shorter and stranger. LG publishes those six code characters as images rather than text. We will not print a character we cannot read off LG’s own page, so the table below names the fault instead.

That last row is worth reading twice. LG routes a low voltage cooktop fault to an electrician rather than to appliance service.
LG’s convection modes drop the oven temperature by 25°F on their own, through a feature LG calls Auto Conversion. LG’s worked example is exact: select Conv. Bake, enter 350°F, and 325°F shows on the display after preheat. Auto Conversion is enabled by default on the range.
A large share of the LG oven running cool calls are the oven working as designed. We have seen this often enough that we ask about the convection setting first. Our oven not heating up guide covers the faults that are real.
LG publishes the key sequence to switch Auto Conversion off.
LG also publishes what a normal preheat looks like: the display starts at 100°F and climbs in five degree steps. A tone sounds and the oven light blinks at the set temperature.
A second LG behaviour reads as a fault and is not one. LG requires the START button to confirm a temperature change, and cancels that change if START is not pressed within 25 seconds. An LG oven that seemed to ignore you may simply have timed out.
LG gas range repair starts at the burner, and LG does not build one burner. On the LDGL6924S its UltraHeat burner is rated 20,000 BTU on natural gas. On the LSGL6337X slide-in, LG rates the same badge at 22,000. LG publishes a propane figure beside every one of them.

That is LG’s own specification, not a fault. In the foothills, where propane is ordinary, an LG range converted to LP loses over a third of its biggest burner. The owner feels that as a slower boil, and LG lists a conversion kit for the model.
LG’s own steps come before ours. If the igniter clicks but the gas does not catch, LG says to check that the gas valve to the range is on. If it is on, LG says to turn that valve on and off three or four times, then try again.
For one dead burner LG points at seating. If the burner cap or the burner head is tilted or not fully seated, reinstall it level. LG names the burner cap, burner head, spark plug and heat sensing rod as the parts that collect moisture and debris.
For a blocked burner hole LG says to poke it five to ten times with a small needle, and not to poke hard. LG also states plainly that it does not offer a repair service for a gas circuit breaker. Our clicking but not lighting guide walks the rest.
LG’s gas ovens light the bake burner from a hot surface ignitor rather than from a spark. LG says it gets red and lights for about 30 to 60 seconds, and that its light reflects in the oven cavity. That window is the test.
An ignitor that glows but never lights the burner inside LG’s own timing is the classic weak ignitor pattern. That is a replacement rather than an adjustment. LG also notes that opening the door mid cycle does not shut the bake burner off, though the cycle is delayed.

LG puts ProBake Convection in the lower cavity and leaves it out of the upper one. The upper oven bakes, broils and warms. LG also gives the lower cavity four rack positions and the upper one two.

An owner who calls because the convection does not work on an LG double oven is often describing the upper cavity. LG never fitted it there. It also explains the oven will not heat while the burners work, because the cavities are separate heat sources.
LG ships two cleaning cycles on the same oven. EasyClean is a ten minute cycle. Spray the interior with water and run it, and LG says the porcelain enamel lifts soil without chemicals or high heat. Self Clean is the high heat cycle for what is left.
The repair reading is in LG’s own code list. F27 is a cooling fan stalled or locked during self clean, and F10 and F20 are door lock failures. Those are the faults a high heat cycle produces, and the ten minute cycle does not.
LG electric range repair and LG gas stove repair begin in different places, because LG specifies different circuits. LG requires a 120/208V or 120/240V, 40 to 50 amp dedicated breaker for its freestanding electric ranges. Freestanding gas ranges require 120V on a 15 to 20 amp dedicated circuit.

A gas LG range still needs 120 volt power, which closes most of the gas range is dead calls. LG also says not to use an extension cord. Where the outlet is not a dedicated circuit, LG sends the rewire to an electrician.
LG dual fuel range repair sits between the two, on 240 volts at a far lower current than the all electric models. LG electric stove repair and LG glass top stove repair are the same visit on a radiant model. The cooktop and the oven share one control system and two code families.
If an LG panel reads OVEN LOCKOUT or CHILD LOCK, the control panel is locked and the range itself is fine. LG’s release is to press and hold either START or the LOCK key for three seconds. That answers a fair number of the LG stove buttons not working searches.
LG has published a safety notice about front mounted knobs on electric ranges. LG, with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, warns that those knobs can be activated by accidental contact. The contact LG names is by humans or pets, and its wording for the consequence is a fire hazard.
LG’s recommended prevention is the same Control Lock above, used when the range is not in use. LG’s remedy is a product safety label carrying a QR code, affixed to the upper left corner of the glass oven door. It is not a parts replacement.
Whether any particular range is in scope is LG’s determination and not ours. The notice sits under Public Notices and Recalls on LG’s own site, and LG gates the check behind your model and serial number. Look yours up there.
The model number is on a label around the oven door frame, and it tells us more than the symptom does. On LG’s ranges the third letter is the fuel: G is gas, E is electric, D is dual fuel. The two digits after the letters are the total oven capacity in cubic feet.
The rest of the badge does not resolve cleanly, and we would rather say so than invent a rule. The second and fourth letters both take values this reading does not cover. LG’s own range list carries LPGU6319Y and LTEL7337F alongside the models above. Read us the whole string rather than a fragment.
LG lists SmartDiagnosis as a spec table field with the value Yes on several of its ranges. Its ThinQ Care copy says connected appliances send usage, maintenance and diagnostic alerts. We will not print an activation sequence LG does not publish, so tell us what ThinQ reported.
InstaView is LG’s lit window: knock twice on it to turn the oven light on without letting heat escape. LG’s spec tables put InstaView on the slide-in models and the WideView window on the freestanding double ovens. Dynamic ProBake Convection appears in the product name of LG’s SIGNATURE gas slide-in, the LSGU6339X.
Three things are worth checking first, because each is common and none needs a technician. Check whether the panel is showing OVEN LOCKOUT or CHILD LOCK. Check whether the temperature you set was confirmed with START inside LG’s 25 second window. On a convection setting, check whether Auto Conversion is showing you 25 degrees less than you asked for.
Past that, the work is ours. Ignition faults, thermistors and oven sensors, door lock assemblies, convection and cooling fans, control boards and radiant cooktop elements are all service calls. Every technician who comes out is insured, and the labour carries a written warranty.

If the range runs on propane rather than natural gas, say so, because LG rates the same burner differently on each. LG lists one year on parts and one year on labour for its ranges. LG has also run a two year limited warranty on select appliances bought through December 31, 2026 and enrolled via the ThinQ app. Both conditions travel together, so check yours with LG.
Usually not, because they are separate heat sources with separate controls. On an LG double oven range it is also worth checking which cavity you used, since LG fits ProBake Convection to the lower one only.
That is LG’s determination rather than ours. LG publishes the notice under Public Notices and Recalls and checks eligibility against your model and serial number. Its own prevention advice is to use Control Lock when the range is idle.
