Insured Viking Repair in Denver Metro: Cooking Appliances

Viking Cooking Appliances We Service

We repair Viking ranges, wall ovens, cooktops, rangetops, hoods and built-in microwaves, current lines and older Professional units alike. Viking prints no fault-code list for its current ranges, cooktops or hoods, so our technicians work from the model, the symptom and Viking's manual.

Viking Cooking Appliance Repair Across Denver Metro

Ranges, ovens, cooktops, rangetops, hoods and built-in microwaves are the Viking cooking machines we repair. Gas, dual fuel and electric models are ours, older Professional units included. The plate names the line, so our Viking cooking appliance repair starts there.

We do not take induction: Viking’s VIR ranges and the RVIR330, its induction cooktops and rangetops, or the RVL Panorama. Outdoor grills, over-the-range microwave hoods and any Viking microwave on a countertop sit outside what we service too.

Range, Oven or Built-In: Where Each Viking Goes

A Viking range is one machine split across two of our pages: the oven cavity on one, everything else on the other. Refrigerators and dishwashers are on our Viking kitchen appliances page.

  • Ranges: gas, dual fuel and electric models in the 3, 5 and 7 Series and Tuscany, on our Viking range page.
  • Range ovens: bake, broil, convection, self-clean and the oven lights of those ranges, on our Viking oven page.
  • Wall ovens: single, double and French-door models, RVL steam and combi-speed models, and warming drawers, on our Viking wall oven page. All current ones are electric.
  • Cooktops and rangetops: gas and electric models in the 3, 5 and 7 Series, on our Viking cooktop page. Viking titles its VRT and VERT models rangetops.
  • Range hoods: wall, chimney, Tuscany and RVL ceiling hoods, inserts and rear downdrafts, on our Viking hood page.
  • Microwaves: drawers, the VMDD5306 speed oven and three models built in with a Viking trim kit, on our Viking microwave page.
  • Range oven or wall oven

An oven under burners in one freestanding body is a range oven. One set into a wall or cabinet is a wall oven, even below a cooktop.

  • Combi-speed oven

The RVL MVMSP6301 runs convection, broil and microwave modes in one cavity. Viking files it under both, and our wall oven page covers it.

Viking Lines and What Each Shows When It Fails

No current Viking range, range oven, cooktop, rangetop or hood prints a fault-code list in its manual. So a code list found online for a current one is not from any manual Viking publishes. Wall ovens and built-in microwaves show words instead, and several are settings, not faults. We diagnose every line from the model and the symptom.

  • 5 Series

Gas, dual fuel and electric ranges, including the open-burner VGIC, plus cooktops, rangetops, Premiere and Select wall ovens, hoods and microwave drawer models.

  • 7 Series

Ranges, rangetops and French-door wall ovens. On the ranges and rangetops the knob rings turn red on an error. Viking prints no list for that signal, so a red ring means a service call.

  • 3 Series

RV models: gas, dual fuel and electric ranges, cooktops, wall ovens and the RVCH chimney hood.

  • Tuscany

TVDR dual fuel ranges and TVHW wall hoods. On 48 and 66-inch builds with an induction section, we service the gas burners and ovens but not the induction section.

  • RVL

Touch-screen wall ovens, the MVSOC6301 steam oven, the MVMSP6301 combi-speed oven, and wall and ceiling hoods. The steam and combi-speed ovens log F codes. Viking does not list them.

  • Older lines

Professional gas and dual fuel ranges, Designer and D3 units, TurboChef speedcook ovens and VGSO gas wall ovens.

What Viking’s Warranty Covers After Year Two

Every machine on this page gets two years of full cover, parts and labor, under Viking’s current warranty sheet. The clock starts at the retail purchase, or at closing on new construction if that gives the longer term. During those two years, the repair belongs to Viking’s warranty service. Damage caused by another repairer is excluded.

From year 3 through year 5, Viking covers only the parts below, and the labor is yours. Some manuals print other terms: the 7 Series, VGIC and RVGR range manuals cover burners without excluding ignition, bases or caps. This page follows Viking’s current sheet, so confirm your model’s term with Viking. Anything outside these covers is ours to repair.

  • Gas burners

Any surface, bake, broil, griddle or grill burner, though not the ignition system, the burner bases or the caps.

  • Electric elements

Bake, broil, convection and surface elements, warming drawer elements included.

  • Built-in microwaves

    The magnetron.

  • Hoods and downdrafts

    Any ventilation motor.

When to Call Wilson & Myers

First, two checks. Inside the first two years, the job belongs to Viking’s warranty service. On a 5 Series gas range from 2021, or an older Professional gas range, rule out a recall too. Viking’s recall page checks a model and serial number.

After that, Viking cooking appliance repair is ours, on gas, dual fuel and electric machines alike. Our technicians are insured. We source parts through national supplier networks and manufacturer contracts.

I usually ask what the knobs, lights or display are doing first. Viking prints so few codes for these machines that the symptom carries the diagnosis. Every paid repair carries our 100-day labor warranty on the work on your invoice.

When you are ready, book your repair online and have three things at hand:

  1. Both numbers on the plate, model and serial.
  2. What happens when you turn it on: a click, a red ring, a word on the display.
  3. The purchase or closing date, so we know whether Viking’s warranty still applies.

Viking Cooking Appliance Repair FAQ

  • Is a problem with my Viking range's oven on the range page or the oven page?

Faults inside the oven take our oven page: bake, broil, convection, self-clean and the lights. Everything else stays on our range page, burners and griddle included.

  • Is a Viking microwave over the range a hood or a microwave?

Viking titles those units microwave hoods: the VMOR506 and the 3 Series RVMH330 and RVMHC330. We do not take them. Countertop use of any Viking microwave sits outside what we service too.

Our microwave page takes the built-in ones. That means the VMOD5240 and VMODC5240 drawers, the VMDD5306 speed oven and three trim-kit models.

  • Are any Viking ranges under recall?

Two recalls touch ranges. One covers certain 5 Series gas ranges, VGR and VGIC models, made between August and December 2021. A 2015 recall covers certain older Professional gas ranges. Viking’s recall page checks a model and serial number, and our range page lists the models.

No Viking wall oven, cooktop, rangetop or hood is under recall. Viking arranges the recall repair, and we do not repair a recalled unit.

  • Do you repair Viking warming drawers?

Yes. Viking’s VWD530 and VWD527, the 3 Series RVEWD330 and the RVL MVWDE6301 are all ours, and our wall oven page covers warming drawers. Viking’s Incogneeto VUIW518 is an induction warmer, and we do not service it.

Which Viking Cooking Appliance Stopped Working?

Tell us the model number from its plate and what happens when you turn it on. Viking prints no code list for most of these, so what you see and hear guides the diagnosis.
