This page covers the oven cavity on Frigidaire and Frigidaire Professional ranges and wall ovens. That means bake and broil heat, igniters, the temperature sensor, display codes and the self-clean lock. Frigidaire oven repair starts with three checks. Is there a recall, is it under warranty, and what does the display show?
On March 19, 2026, the CPSC announced recall 26-333 for Frigidaire, Frigidaire Gallery and Frigidaire Professional gas ranges, sold from June 2025 through January 2026. The oven’s bake burner can ignite late, which poses a burn risk.
A listed model with a serial from VF52200000 through VF54399999 is covered. Check the nameplate in the drawer below the oven. Two air fry ranges are named: the Frigidaire 30″ Gas Range with Air Fry, FCRG3083AS or FCRG3083AD, and the Professional PCFG3080AF.
If yours is covered, stop using the oven now. The cooktop burners can still be used. Electrolux Group, which issued the recall, installs a new bake burner at home for free, before any paid visit from us.
The notice also lists six Gallery color codes of four Gallery models, which belong on our Frigidaire Gallery page. A 2024 recall of detaching control panels is explained on our Frigidaire range page.

Frigidaire badges gas and electric ranges and electric wall ovens, and Frigidaire Professional adds a dual fuel range. We work on the oven in every one of them, and older Frigidaire and Professional units are ours too. Where to find Frigidaire oven model number plates depends on the machine. The table lists current models, because their guides are the ones quoted here.
Gallery has its own page with us, so go by the full model record, not the first letter. FGEW276SP starts with F but is a Gallery model. Induction ranges, and the ovens inside them, sit outside what we service.
The four microwave combination wall ovens have a lower oven we cover here. The built-in unit and its upper microwave cavity are on our Frigidaire wall oven page. Countertop and over-the-range microwaves sit outside what we service.
Our Frigidaire cooking appliances page links this oven page with the range, wall oven, cooktop and range hood pages. Everything else starts at our Frigidaire brand page.
| Oven | Where the plate sits |
|---|---|
| 30-inch gas ranges | Right side of the oven front frame at the drawer, or the lower panel area |
| 30-inch electric ranges | On the front, visible with the door open |
| 24-inch gas FFGH2422U | Inside the oven door at lower left, and at the middle bottom of the back |
| 24-inch electric FCFE2425A, FFEH2422U | Oven front frame with the door open, and the back near the bottom |
| 36-inch Professional ranges | Right side of the oven door frame |
| Wall ovens | Usually the interior side trim, visible with the door open |
The full walk-through for a gas oven that will not heat, from the recall check through the clock lockout to the igniter, is in our Frigidaire oven not heating guide. What follows here is the model-specific detail our technicians work from, most of it printed in Frigidaire’s own 30-inch guides. The installation text says the igniter will glow similar to a light bulb. Flame follows 30 to 60 seconds after the oven is set.
The 24-inch FFGH2422U is the one model where Frigidaire’s documents disagree on how to light a Frigidaire gas stove oven. Its guide says to press the knob at the spark position, while its installation sheet describes a glowing igniter. Follow the routine your own guide prints.
Frigidaire tells owners not to operate the electric ignition oven during a power failure. Set the controls to OFF. The igniter relights the burner on its own when power returns if they were left on.
Do not use broil as a test. On the plain 30-inch gas ranges, spec sheets list a 1,400-watt broil element while a gas burner does the baking. So a working broil proves nothing about the gas side.
A Frigidaire gas oven not heating after those checks needs a qualified technician, as the guides say. A Frigidaire gas oven not igniting leaves the igniter under suspicion. A Frigidaire oven igniter that glows is not cleared by the glow alone, because Frigidaire ties the valve opening to igniter temperature. We test the Frigidaire gas oven igniter and its valve, then order the part by model and serial number.
The step-by-step path for an electric oven that will not heat is in our Frigidaire oven not heating guide. This page stays with what Frigidaire prints for specific models, and that starts outside the oven: low supply voltage is named first, which can mean an electrician. The second cause is heat escaping past a torn, worn, detached or missing door gasket. The guide for the 30-inch ranges says not to clean that gasket, because its woven material is essential for a good seal.
On the plain Frigidaire ranges and wall ovens, Frigidaire’s feature text puts the lower heating elements beneath the oven floor. So you cannot judge a Frigidaire oven heating element by eye, except on the FCRE3052B with its raised element. A Frigidaire oven element is ordered by the full model number.
The 24-inch FCFE2425A adds a safety thermostat that cuts power and restores it as the oven cools. If that Frigidaire oven won’t heat up again on convection, restart it by hand, as its guide says.
Start with the clock. On the 30-inch Frigidaire ranges and the 30-inch Professional knob ranges, the guides say the clock must be set in order to operate the oven. After a power cut the display flashes 12:00, and a Frigidaire stove oven not working then may just need the time set.
A Frigidaire oven not turning on at all, or a Frigidaire oven display not working, is a power question first. Check the cord, the fuse or breaker box, and your house lights. When the Frigidaire oven won’t turn on after that, the fault is ours to find.
A Frigidaire oven keeps beeping for reasons one 2022 guide spells out. Three short beeps flag an entry outside the limits, and a triple beep means Oven Lock is on. Steam Clean also triple-beeps when it refuses a warm oven, so tell us what you hear when you book.
When a Frigidaire oven won’t turn off, press OFF, or turn both knobs to OFF on the Professional knob ranges. If the oven keeps heating after that, switch it off at the breaker and call us.
Demo mode, which makes no heat. Disconnect and reconnect the power, then turn it off in Settings within 5 minutes.
A Frigidaire oven fan won’t turn off the moment the oven does. Frigidaire says it runs until the cavity cools.
A 30-inch key-pad guide shuts the oven off if it is left on for more than 12 hours. A Broil door left open more than 3 minutes shuts it off too.
Frigidaire’s owner site lists Frigidaire oven error codes for electric ranges, plus a guide for range ovens and wall ovens. None of those articles assigns the codes to gas ranges.
Frigidaire gives two waits for the same reset. The range guides say to press OFF, then cut power for 5 minutes and set the clock. The support articles say up to 30 seconds. Either way, the only Frigidaire oven reset button in print is that power cut.
The Frigidaire oven F10 error code warns of higher-than-normal temperatures: turn the oven off and let it cool. On Professional Stone-Baked Pizza ovens it can also mean the Pizza Shield is off rack position 7, though Frigidaire adds that some models vary.
A Frigidaire oven F90 error code belongs to the F90 to F94 door lock family. With a Frigidaire oven door locked, F90 showing, cut power for up to 30 seconds, which Frigidaire says clears most false error codes.
A Frigidaire oven F1 error is a shorted key pad. The F30 error code Frigidaire oven owners read off the display means Open Probe, and F31 means Shorted Probe. Frigidaire names neither probe, so a Frigidaire oven F31 error does not prove a bad sensor. Its documents tie no code to a part, so a returning code sends us to the Frigidaire oven control board, the sensor and its wiring.
| Display | Frigidaire's name | Frigidaire's owner step |
|---|---|---|
| A single dash | The cooktop is locked | Hold OFF for 6 seconds |
| F1 | Shorted Key Pad | Cut power up to 30 seconds |
| F3 or F20, plus F26 in the list only | Communication Error | Cut power up to 30 seconds |
| F10 | Thermal Runaway | Turn it off and let it cool. Call if it persists |
| F12 | Micro Identification | Cut power up to 30 seconds |
| F13 | EEPROM Failure, or E Prompt Failure in the list | Cut power up to 30 seconds |
| F30 or F31 | Open Probe or Shorted Probe | Cut power up to 30 seconds |
| F40 or F41 | Cooktop Lock Out | Cut power up to 30 seconds |
| F90 to F94 | Door Lock Issue | Cut power. On touch screens, press UNLOCK |
| Err XX | A fault, in the 36-inch Professional owner guides | Record the code and call technical support |
Frigidaire warns that grocery-store oven thermometers may vary as much as 20 to 40 degrees from actual temperatures. So a store thermometer is a poor judge of a Frigidaire oven thermostat. Frigidaire’s answer is uPo, an owner offset of up to 35°F either way that leaves Broil and Self Clean alone.
How to calibrate Frigidaire oven temperature depends on the control, as the list shows. Preheat fully first: Frigidaire says that can take up to 20 minutes, with the oven empty and the door closed. The beep at the set temperature is how you know it is preheated, if the sound is on.
We test the Frigidaire oven temperature sensor, which Frigidaire calls the temperature sensing probe, only after that.
Only four plain Frigidaire models list Self Clean: FCRG3083A, FCRE3083A, FCFG3083A and FCWS3025A. A Frigidaire oven locked door after Self Clean is by design. Allow about 1 extra hour, Frigidaire says.
A Frigidaire oven door stays locked until the cavity cools below cleaning temperature. Do not force it. Frigidaire says that damages the automatic door locking system.
A Frigidaire oven door locked, light blinking, at the start of a cycle is the latch doing its work. On the 2025 FCRG3083A, a flashing CLn means the door is still locking. To reset a Frigidaire oven door lock, hold OFF for 6 seconds when a single dash shows. For F90 to F94, cut power as the code table says.
On the 30-inch platforms, Steam Clean will not start in an oven above room temperature. The 36-inch dual fuel PCFD3670A refuses only above 167°F. Opening the door mid-cycle shows d-O.
Denver Metro homes all sit well above 2,000 feet, which is the height Frigidaire’s gas installation sheets single out. They word the reduction two ways, so we quote each for its own models and compute no derate.
The 30-inch and 24-inch sheets put it this way. “Operation at elevations above 2000 ft., appliance rating shall be reduced at the rate of 4 percent for each 1000 ft. above sea level.”
The 36-inch Professional sheets read differently. “When operating at elevations higher than 2000 ft. above sea level, the appliance rating should be reduced by 4 percent for each additional 1000 ft.”
Neither sheet says how the reduction is made, and none names a high-altitude kit. So we check the installation on a slow gas oven. The 30-inch and 24-inch ranges ship set for natural gas, and propane needs the matching conversion, covered on our Frigidaire range page. Frigidaire also asks that nothing blocks combustion air at the oven vent or around the base.
Frigidaire oven troubleshooting stops at a clear line in the owner guides. Check the clock, the gas valve, the power reset and uPo. The recall check is CPSC’s, and it comes before all of them. Past that line, the work is ours.
Our Frigidaire oven repair service covers igniters, valves, bake elements, sensors, door locks and the Frigidaire electronic oven control board. We source parts through national supplier networks and manufacturer contracts, and we fit OEM parts when the supplier has the right one. Our technicians are insured.
Check the warranty first. Current Frigidaire and Professional oven records list one year on parts and labor. Keep the receipt and the delivery slip, because Frigidaire’s guides do not agree on which one starts the year. Inside that year, the repair belongs to Frigidaire’s warranty service.
I have seen an oven condemned as a dead igniter when the clock had never been reset after an outage. Have the model, the serial and the code ready, then book your oven repair online.
Check recall 26-333 first. Then confirm the regulator gas valve is ON and the clock is set. On the 30-inch gas ranges, no flame within 60 seconds of setting Bake means a technician.
Our Frigidaire oven not heating guide walks the whole path, from the recall check and the clock lockout through the error codes.
Frigidaire calls F90 through F94 a door lock issue. Cut power for up to 30 seconds, and on Professional touch screens press UNLOCK. If the code returns, the lock system needs a technician.
On the models that print one, use the uPo offset. It shifts the oven as much as 35°F cooler or hotter. Judge by your recipes, not a grocery-store thermometer, which Frigidaire says can be 20 to 40 degrees off.
Treat it as an emergency, as Frigidaire’s gas range documents do. Light no appliance, touch no electrical switch and use no phone in the building.
Call your gas supplier from a neighbor’s phone, or the fire department if you cannot reach them. Once the home is cleared, we can look at the oven.
Yes. We repair Frigidaire and Frigidaire Professional ovens across Denver Metro, and this page lists the cities we serve.
Tell us the model, the serial number and what the display shows. On a gas range, the serial also tells us whether recall 26-333 applies.
