Frigidaire Wall Oven Repair in the Denver Metro Area

Every current Frigidaire and Frigidaire Professional wall oven is electric and hard-wired to a junction box. Frigidaire wall oven repair on this page covers that unit, single, double or microwave combination, and our oven cavity page covers heat faults. Start with the model number and the display.

Frigidaire Wall Oven Messages That Look Like a Failure

A Frigidaire wall oven that shut itself off after a long bake may be working as designed. The FCWS2730A and FCWS3030A guides describe a 12-hour energy saving feature that turns the oven off. The control can be set to override it.

A lock icon means locked, not broken. The table below gives each guide’s unlock routine, and Frigidaire’s support article adds another: hold Off for 6 seconds. It says steps vary by model and sends you back to your guide.

Most Frigidaire wall oven error codes, F10 among them, point inside the cavity. No current guide prints an F-code table. Frigidaire lists the codes in one support article, and our oven cavity page works through them.

For any code, the first step on Frigidaire’s support site is 30 seconds without power. A wall oven is wired to a junction box. So the reset happens at the breaker.

Which Frigidaire Wall Oven You Have, and Where the Plate Sits

Frigidaire sells seven current wall ovens under its own name, in 27-inch and 30-inch widths. Frigidaire Professional adds six, all 30-inch. Professional has no page of its own on our site, so its wall ovens belong here and under our Frigidaire brand page.

Both lines offer single, double and microwave combination units, listed in the table below.

Every current 24-inch wall oven in Frigidaire’s catalog is a Frigidaire Gallery model, and so is the only gas wall oven. A Frigidaire wall oven burner is not something the current lineup has, because every current Frigidaire and Professional wall oven is electric. Gallery has its own Frigidaire Gallery page. Older 24-inch ovens badged plain Frigidaire do exist, such as the discontinued FFEW2426US, and they belong here.

The serial plate sits inside the door opening. Frigidaire’s 27-inch and combination installation sheets place it along the interior side trim, visible with the door open. Frigidaire wants the model, serial and lot number from that plate whenever you order parts or ask about the oven.

Frigidaire’s spec sheet lists the Frigidaire 30″ single wall oven FCWS3030A in four finishes, each with its own code. Read the whole model number off the plate.

Wall ovens sit beside Frigidaire’s ranges, cooktops and range hoods in our Frigidaire cooking appliances section.

Frigidaire Double Wall Ovens: Two Cavities, One Circuit

Both ovens in a Frigidaire double share one supply cable, one junction box and one circuit. Every plain and Professional double lists 40 amps. So a Frigidaire double oven not working at all, both cavities and the display dark, starts at the breaker.

Frigidaire double oven problems in one cavity are a different job. A 27-inch Frigidaire double oven that is not heating, such as the FCWD2730A, needs our oven cavity page. Frigidaire double oven, lower oven not working? On the Professional PCWD3080A, that oven has its own set of control dials, so check those first.

Our Frigidaire double oven repair service covers what surrounds both cavities: controls, doors, fans and the cabinet. Frigidaire’s 30-inch sheet levels a double with wood shims, set to a compromise between its two ovens. Uneven baking can start there.

Frigidaire Combination Units Carry a Built-In Microwave on Top

Every Frigidaire and Professional combination has two cavities. The upper one is a built-in microwave with its own key panel, lock included.

Frigidaire says not to run that upper cavity if its door, hinges, latches or seals are damaged. It leaves repair to qualified service personnel. Our built-in microwave repair covers that upper cavity, while countertop and over-the-range microwaves sit outside what we service.

Fan Sounds on a Frigidaire Wall Oven, and the Cabinet Behind Them

A fan running after shutdown can be normal. Frigidaire’s installation sheets describe a cooling fan in the upper rear, on the models that have one, that cools the electrical and electronic parts. After high-temperature use, it keeps running once the oven is off. Frigidaire gives no run time, so we do not quote one.

The convection fan is a different fan. Frigidaire’s fix for a still one is to close the door, because it stops whenever the door opens.

Noise can also start at the cabinet. For the 27-inch and 30-inch singles and doubles, Frigidaire’s installation sheets say to check the cut-out depth if a convection model is noisy. The same check applies when the oven trim does not sit against the cabinet. The minimum depths sit in the cut-out table further down.

Frigidaire Wall Oven Doors, Hinge Locks and the Clean-Cycle Latch

In the guides that show door removal, each Frigidaire wall oven hinge has a lock you pull up first. Those guides cover both plain combinations, the FCWS3025A and every Professional model. The door is heavy, Frigidaire warns.

For the other plain models, Frigidaire contradicts itself. The guides for the FCWS2730A, the FCWS3030A and both plain doubles print no door-removal steps. Their installation sheets still tell the installer to remove the door and see the guide.

A Frigidaire wall oven latch that stays locked after Self Clean is doing its job. On the FCWS3025A and the Professional dial models, the door stays locked while Hot shows, about an hour. Forcing it can damage the lock, Frigidaire warns. A latch that will not release once the oven is cool belongs on our oven cavity page.

When to Call Wilson & Myers

The first list below comes from Frigidaire’s own guides, sheets and support site. Work through it before you book.

Whatever the checks leave is ours, as the second list shows. Cavity heat is the oven page’s job. In my experience, a wall oven that hums and bakes unevenly is more often sitting too deep in its cabinet than failing.

Our technicians are insured, and we source parts through national supplier networks and manufacturer contracts. In the first year, call Frigidaire’s warranty service. After that, book a Frigidaire wall oven repair with the model number from the plate.

  1. Check the breaker: Frigidaire’s guides start there when the whole unit is dead.
  2. Look for a lock icon or SAb: a lock or Sabbath mode leaves working keys unresponsive.
  3. Give a code 30 seconds without power: Frigidaire’s support site starts there. Switch the breaker off, then back on.
  4. Close the door: the convection fan stops whenever it opens, and some models shut Broil off after a door left open.
  5. Check the bulb is seated: Frigidaire’s warranty does not pay for a visit to replace one.
  • The cooling fan: on the models that have one, the fan above the oven that keeps its electronics cool.
  • Doors and hinges: a door that will not come off, go back on or close properly.
  • The controls: keys or a display that stay dead after the breaker, lock and Sabbath checks.
  • The unit in its cabinet: pulling it out, re-seating it and re-engaging the anti-tip screws.
  • The combination’s upper cavity: a built-in microwave, which is inside our scope.

The Frigidaire Fit Promise and the Cut-Out Around Your Oven

Frigidaire’s installation sheets say its wall ovens are designed to fit a variety of cut-out sizes, with little or no cabinet work needed. The 27-inch combination sheet says a limited variety.

Every current Frigidaire and Professional wall oven also carries the Frigidaire Fit Promise. Frigidaire promises a new oven will fit an existing cut-out of the same width and configuration. If it does not, Frigidaire reimburses cabinet modification costs up to a set limit. Read the program terms before you count on it.

Where an opening is taller than the oven, Frigidaire’s sheets call for 2-inch-wide wood shims under the side rails. Each shim is cut to the height that opening needs.

The 27-inch models add two rules. Their bottom trims must be installed for the oven to work properly, and wood is no substitute. Side spacers, where fitted, center the oven to prevent heat buildup, and Frigidaire says not to remove them.

A cooktop can sit above some single wall ovens. Frigidaire approves only listed pairings, and its approval sheet names single ovens only, no doubles or combinations. The cooktop itself is covered on our Frigidaire cooktop page, and induction cooktops sit outside what we service.

What Pulling a Frigidaire Wall Oven From Its Cabinet Involves

Work behind the oven starts with sliding it out. These ovens are heavy, and Frigidaire’s sheets carry a heavy weight warning.

Frigidaire wants slack left in the cable between the junction box and the oven. That slack lets the unit move for service. The anti-tip screws go back in whenever the oven is moved, because an open door can tip it.

The serial plate also sets the breaker size. Frigidaire’s sheets size it from the wattage printed on the plate. The supply can be 120/240 or 120/208 volts, on a separate circuit.

Access is where Frigidaire’s warranty draws a line. It excludes the cost of making a built-in unit reachable, such as removing trim, cupboards or shelves that did not ship with the oven. When cabinets are out of square or built in too tightly, Frigidaire sends the owner back to the builder or installer.

For a new oven that runs too hot or not hot enough in its first 30 days, Frigidaire’s support site points to the installer.

  • Two or more people

Frigidaire’s sheets call for a team to move or install a wall oven.

  • Never by the handle

The door handle and control panel are not lifting points.

  • Door off first

Frigidaire says removing the door makes installation easier.

  • Breaker off

Power stays off while the connection is handled.

Frigidaire Wall Oven Repair FAQ

Is my Frigidaire wall oven still under warranty?

Frigidaire covers its current wall ovens for one year, parts and labor. The 2025 guides count that year from delivery, while the FCWS3025A guide and the 2022 Professional guides count it from purchase. In that year, call Frigidaire’s warranty service.

Frigidaire’s guides for these ovens, combinations included, print no longer term for any single part. The warranty also excludes installation corrections and visits to replace a bulb. Check yours before paying for a repair.

Has Frigidaire recalled any of its wall ovens?

The CPSC records searched show one. In 2016, a recall covered two 24-inch Frigidaire wall ovens, FFEW2415QWA and FFEW2425QSA, sold from March through April 2016. Their thermal switch could malfunction and create a fire hazard.

The notice names one serial number per model, so the plate decides. It told owners to stop using them and contact the manufacturer for a free inspection and repair. On those ovens the numbers sit on the left side trim inside the oven, and no current model is part of it.

Where does a Frigidaire wall oven element fault belong?

That is cavity work, not unit work. On every current plain Frigidaire wall oven, the bake element sits hidden beneath the oven floor. Element faults belong on our oven cavity page, along with the sensor and the codes. If your oven and cooktop share one body, that is a range, and our Frigidaire range page covers it.

Can a damaged liner inside a Frigidaire wall oven be replaced?

Frigidaire’s right-to-repair table, printed under Quebec in several current guides, says replacement liners and frames are not available. Its reach beyond Quebec is not stated.

Ask us to confirm whether a liner can be sourced for your model before you pay for other work on a damaged cavity.

Does Denver’s altitude change how a Frigidaire wall oven is installed?

Frigidaire’s installation sheets for these wall ovens print no altitude or elevation rule, so neither do we. Nothing about a Denver install changes the cut-out, the circuit or the clearances.
