Two recalls since 2024 reach current Frigidaire ranges, so the model plate comes before any repair. Some sounds are by design, too: every surface igniter sparks when you light one gas burner. Frigidaire stove repair on this page covers the range itself, from burners and elements to controls, fit and the anti-tip bracket.
Frigidaire’s spec sheets mark every 30-inch FCR code as rear control and every FCF or PCF code as front control. A Frigidaire 4-burner gas stove in this lineup is the FCRG3051B or the 24-inch FFGH2422U. Older Frigidaire and Professional ranges are ours as well, and the table lists current models because their guides are the ones quoted here.
Induction ranges sit outside what we service: Frigidaire’s FCFI3082B and FCRI3062A, and the Professional PCFI3670A, PCFI3085B and PCFI3080A. Gallery ranges, dual fuel and 36-inch gas included, have their own Frigidaire Gallery page. A built-in cooktop is a different machine, covered on our Frigidaire cooktop page.
The oven cavity is a separate job: bake and broil parts, the oven igniter, oven codes and self-clean belong on our Frigidaire oven page. Ranges share the Frigidaire cooking appliances branch with wall ovens, cooktops and range hoods.

CPSC recall 24-117, from February 2024, covers some rear-control ranges built in October and November 2023. Their control panel can detach, a shock and electrocution hazard. Keep the range unplugged until Electrolux Group fits a free new panel.
Coverage is decided by serial number, not by the model alone. A Frigidaire 30″ electric range FCRE3052B from those months needs a serial check. The white Frigidaire FCRE3062AW 30″ electric range is not on that list.
The second notice is recall 26-333 of March 2026, on gas ranges whose oven bake burner can light late, the Professional PCFG3080AF among them. Stop using the oven and check the model list on our Frigidaire oven page.
Both notices print their serial ranges. They put the plate in the drawer beneath the oven. The installation sheets put it on the oven front frame instead, so check both places.
| Model | Color codes in the notice |

Frigidaire stove troubleshooting should start here, since each item below is Frigidaire’s own design. The guide for the Frigidaire 30″ electric range FCRE3062A explains the cycling: a limiter switches its radiant elements on and off at HI. If the Frigidaire stove on light won’t turn off, check which light it is.
Turn one gas knob to LITE and every surface igniter sparks. Only your burner lights.
The 24-inch gas guide warns its igniter keeps sparking. Turn the knob out of LITE.
Frigidaire calls it completely normal. A pan smaller than the element, or not fully flat, makes it more frequent.
The glass-top guides that print it say it stays lit after the element is off, until the surface has cooled. PCFG3080A knobs glow red for the same reason.
On 30-inch gas models, surface burners still work and can be lit with a match. Never run the oven then.
For a Frigidaire gas stove igniter clicking but not lighting, the manual’s checks start with the knob and the burner. Each burner has its own electrode and should light within four seconds once the line is purged. So a Frigidaire stove burner not working beside lit ones needs its own cap, head and ports checked.
If no igniter clicks at all, the checks that still apply are the knob, the cord and the breaker. On the 30- and 24-inch gas models, the burner head fits over each Frigidaire stove igniter. The oven’s own Frigidaire range igniter glows instead of sparking on 30-inch gas models.
In Frigidaire gas stove troubleshooting, a good flame is blue and hardly visible in a well-lit room. The manual’s first cause for an orange flame is dust in the gas line: let the burner run a few minutes. A flame that stays too high or orange can mean an incorrect LP conversion.
The FCRG3051B, FCRG3052B and FCRG3062A guides contradict themselves: heads are secured and cleaned in place, yet one step removes them. Clean those heads where they sit rather than forcing one loose.
The Frigidaire 30″ freestanding gas range FCRG3052B, a Frigidaire 5-burner gas stove, runs from 18,000 BTU down to a 5,000 BTU simmer burner. Frigidaire gas stove repair starts after these checks, the first three in the manual’s order:
The PCFG3670A gas range and PCFD3670A dual fuel add a thermocouple safety device to their burners. After a burner lights, keep the knob pushed in for 3 to 5 seconds. If it goes out when released, Frigidaire says the thermocouple needed more heat: wait, then hold longer.
No flame within 15 seconds means knob to OFF and a 5-minute wait. The PCFG3670A guide adds two checks: the gas supply valve is open, and igniters and thermocouples are wiped with a damp cloth.
All six Frigidaire stove burners here are dual-flame, and the inner ring always lights with the outer. There is no pilot light, and pushing any knob fires every Frigidaire gas range igniter.
Frigidaire gas range troubleshooting ends there. Faults show only as Err XX, with no code list in the manuals, so note the code. The rest is Frigidaire gas range repair for a technician.
Frigidaire electric range troubleshooting starts with the right knob for the element and flat, balanced cookware of medium or heavy weight, not light or warped.
A Frigidaire glass top stove burner not working after that gets a reset: unplug the range for 30 seconds. A Frigidaire stove not heating on any element after a recent install is different, and Frigidaire suspects voltage or wiring.
The 24-inch FFEH2422U is the only current coil model. Frigidaire’s support article for coil ranges gives a Frigidaire electric stove burner not working two tests. Press the safety switch in the center of the coil, which should spring back up. Then swap coils to see whether the fault follows the coil or the receptacle.
Frigidaire stove electric burners on this model lift out, and each terminal must go firmly back into its plug. Its coils are a new generation built for a UL change on surface temperature detection. So a replacement heating element for Frigidaire stove coils must match the parts catalog listing for this model.
For Frigidaire electric stove repair on a glass top, tell us which Frigidaire stove element stopped. Two names you may see:
Frigidaire’s support site marks its code guide for electric ranges, and the 30-inch gas manuals print one general line for any F or E code. So the Frigidaire range error codes below are electric-only, except the row that says otherwise.
Frigidaire gives two waits for the same code reset. Its code articles say to cut power for up to 30 seconds. Its owner guides say to press OFF, and if the code repeats, to cut power for 5 minutes and set the clock. Frigidaire’s documents call that power cut a reset of the range, and none mentions a control board.
Whether a Frigidaire stove control board has failed is decided at the range, after the reset.
Two states belong to the cooktop. A single dash means it is locked, and F40 or F41 is Frigidaire’s Cooktop Lock Out. On the FCFE3082B the lockout can cover the cooktop surface, the oven control keys and the door.
The rest of the Frigidaire stove error codes point into the oven cavity. A Frigidaire stove F10 code, a Frigidaire stove F1 code and the door lock group take the reset above. After that they belong on our Frigidaire oven page.
| Display | Frigidaire meaning | First step |
|---|---|---|
| A single dash | The cooktop is locked | Hold OFF for 6 seconds |
| F40 or F41 | Cooktop Lock Out | Reset |
| SPr | Self-clean canceled by a surface burner, some gas and electric models | Let the oven cool and unlock |
| F1 and the oven cavity codes F10 and F30 or F31 plus F90 to F94 | Shorted key pad on the control, then thermal runaway, open or shorted probe, door lock | Reset, then the oven page |
| Err XX | A fault, 36-inch Professional only | Note the code and call |
Frigidaire range troubleshooting comes first. If your Frigidaire stove won’t turn on, check the plug and breaker, then the house lights. We start a dark display with the same checks.
A new range, or one unused for a long time, must sit above 32°F for at least 3 hours before power goes on. The 30-inch guides tie that to the electronic control.
A flashing 12:00 means the power was interrupted, so check for it if the Frigidaire stove clock won’t stay on the time you set. Frigidaire’s support articles send faults in a range’s first 30 days back to the installer. Start there with a new Frigidaire stove not turning on.
A gas smell is never a booking. Frigidaire says to light nothing, touch no electrical switch and use no phone in the building. Call your gas supplier from a neighbor’s phone, or the fire department if you cannot reach them.
A Frigidaire stove not working at all with the power confirmed is ours to diagnose. So is a Frigidaire range burner not working after those checks. On electric models, name the Frigidaire electric stove heating element that stays cold after the reset and swap test.
I have seen a cold burner blamed on the element when the coil had simply worked loose in its receptacle. Our technicians are insured, and a 100-day labor warranty covers our work. We source parts through national supplier networks and manufacturer contracts, and order OEM parts by model number, with timing set by the supplier.
Inside year one, Frigidaire’s warranty service comes first, and Frigidaire range repair on a recalled unit goes through Electrolux Group. Otherwise our Frigidaire stove repair service covers every range in the table above, and the older ones too. If you have been searching for Frigidaire stove repair near me, we cover Denver Metro. Book the visit online with the model number and the burner or element that stopped.
Every current Frigidaire and Professional range guide carries a one-year limited warranty that pays to repair or replace defective parts. None extends the glass top or sealed burners past that year.
Most count the year from purchase, but the guides for the Professional PCFG3080A, PCFE3080A and PCFE3085B count it from delivery.
The written warranty excludes service calls to correct an installation, cosmetic parts such as knobs, and the cost of removing trim or cupboards for access. It also excludes a range transferred from its original owner, so a range that came with the house is a paid repair from day one. Inside its first year a range belongs with Frigidaire’s warranty service, and we repair it once that year has passed.
Frigidaire presets its gas ranges for natural gas. The 30-inch gas models list the GRLP5 LP kit as optional, while the 24-inch FFGH2422U and both 36-inch Professional ranges include one. Frigidaire sends 30- and 24-inch conversions to your LP gas provider and 36-inch ones to a qualified technician or installer.
Denver Metro homes sit well above 2,000 feet, the height Frigidaire’s gas installation text singles out. The 30- and 24-inch gas installation instructions put it this way.
“Operation at elevations above 2000 ft., appliance rating shall be reduced at the rate of 4 percent for each 1000 ft. above sea level.”
The 36-inch Professional instructions word it differently.
“When operating at elevations higher than 2000 ft. above sea level, the appliance rating should be reduced by 4 percent for each additional 1000 ft.”
We quote each for its own models and compute no derate. No guide names a high-altitude kit. The 36-inch guides also state safe operation up to 10,000 feet, with propane still needing conversion.
Frigidaire warns that a child or adult can tip a range over and be killed. A moved range takes its anti-tip bracket with it. For service, gas and power are disconnected first. Frigidaire pulls it out only as far as needed to reach those connections, then the rest of the way.
Afterward it is leveled on an oven rack, the gas is leak-checked and the bracket is engaged again. Frigidaire’s own bracket check:
Frigidaire lists three common spots: the oven’s side trim, the left side panel with the door open, or the storage drawer’s front frame. On 30-inch gas models, look at the right side of the oven front frame by the drawer. On 30-inch electric models you find it on the front, visible with the door open.
The 36-inch Professional carries it on the right side of the oven door frame. The guides say not to remove the plate.
Frigidaire’s code guide for electric ranges lists F90 through F94 as a door lock issue. An F90 code on Frigidaire stove displays gets the reset above first. If it returns, the door lock is covered on our Frigidaire oven page.
Not in the current lineup: no range Frigidaire lists today, Gallery included, is a double-oven range. A double oven built into the wall is a wall oven, covered on our Frigidaire wall oven page.
The 30-inch gas guide allows only the repairs the manuals recommend and leaves the rest to a qualified technician. The coil model’s guide covers reseating its plug-in coils, and a new coil must be the part listed for that model. For a glass top, book a technician.
Tell us the model number and which burner or element stopped. That shows us gas or electric, and whether a recall covers the range.
