Samsung’s current US catalogue runs to at least 77 refrigerators, and at least 31 of them are counter depth. Which cabinet sits in your kitchen changes the visit before a panel comes off.
Wilson & Myers handles Samsung refrigerator repair and Samsung fridge repair across the Denver Metro Area. Samsung refrigerator repair service, Samsung refrigerator repair Denver and Samsung refrigerator repair near me all reach the same team.
Insured technicians, EPA-608 certified for refrigerant work, and a 100-day labor warranty. We diagnose first and quote second, and you decide before any part is ordered.
Samsung files this range by cabinet, and the two letters in front of the model number are the cabinet type. Read the whole string, because the prefix alone will mislead you.
French door, in 3-Door, 4-Door and 4-Door Flex cabinets. The largest family by a distance.
Four-door French door, both new. RM80F23VMRAA is Samsung’s AI Hybrid Cooling unit and RM80F22WEWAA is not.
Side by side.
Top freezer. Some of these cabinets were sold with no ice maker fitted.
One-door convertible upright, which Samsung files under refrigerators rather than freezers.
The prefix does not encode the cooling platform, the refrigerant, or where the ice maker sits. Two RM cabinets share a prefix and only one of them is on the new platform, which is the trap this brand sets most often.
Capacity is a second small trap. Samsung’s catalogue row for RF27CG5100SRAA reads 27 cu. ft. while Samsung’s own spec sheet for it prints 26.5, so a listing and a spec sheet disagree by half a foot.
The rest of the room sits on our Samsung kitchen appliances page, and the brand starts at Samsung appliance repair.
Samsung’s Bespoke limited warranty document sets four terms, and between them they decide who should do the work. Read them before you book anyone, us included.
Parts and labor on the refrigerator. An addendum extends that to two years for a listed set of 2022 and 2023 purchases.
Parts and labor on the sealed refrigeration system only. Samsung defines that as compressor, evaporator, condenser, drier and connecting tubing.
Parts on the digital inverter compressor, with five years labor on the same component.
One Samsung warranty document adds two years parts and labor. Two Samsung spec sheets we read carry no ice maker line at all.
Samsung is blunt about the channel: warranty service runs through Samsung’s own service network, not through us. If your machine sits inside one of those windows, use it, and we will say so on the phone.
The five-year sealed system term is genuinely good cover and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Everything outside those windows is ours, and so is every fault that is not a sealed-system fault.
Samsung’s own door article names four causes, and levelling is not one of them. That is worth knowing, because levelling is one of its leak causes and one of its frost causes.
On Bespoke cabinets the door height is adjustable in the field with a flat-head screwdriver and snap rings. Samsung supplies them in 1, 1.5, 2 and 2.5 mm and allows one ring per door, because two or more can slip out or rub.
It also warns against raising a door too high, where it can foul the upper hinge cover or damage the top cover. A refrigerator is designed to tilt back slightly, so a correctly set machine is deliberately not level front to back.

Samsung’s leak article is the right place to start, for what it contains and for what it leaves out. We work through its list first, then past it.
What that list never mentions is a drain. The word defrost does not appear in it once, and every mention of draining is the Autofill compartment’s rubber cap.
So the owner-facing article does not cover the drain path at all. A leak that is not on Samsung’s list is usually the point at which the call becomes ours.
Filters are the other thing homeowners get wrong. HAF-QIN and HAF-CIN are different filters and both are current, alongside HAFCU1 and a HAF-DIN bypass, so the right one is a per-model fact. Samsung’s parts channel lists components by model number, which makes identifying the correct one a lookup rather than a hunt.
Samsung publishes its own noise vocabulary, and a homeowner describes the sound rather than the fault. It is the fastest way to narrow a call before anyone drives anywhere.
Plastic parts contracting and expanding as the temperature inside rises and falls.
Water filling the ice maker, or the compressor running at low or high speed.
The circulation fans, which is normal until it is not.
Refrigerant changing between liquid and gas, or water dripping onto the defrost heater.
The dispenser motor, and Samsung notes it especially when crushed ice is selected.
Objects sitting behind the cabinet, or the compressor itself.
One entry behaves differently from the rest. A fan hitting ice is the only noise Samsung sends to service with no condition attached. The others depend on the sound being loud or continuing.
Samsung’s own note on it is the useful part. A manual defrost clears the ice and the noise, and only service corrects the cause, which is the sentence that decides the call.
If the cabinet is not holding temperature at all, our Samsung refrigerator not cooling guide walks the symptom before you book anything.
Samsung publishes a code list and says plainly that it is not a complete one. The codes below are the ones that belong to this page, quoted with Samsung’s own headings where it gives one.
| Code | What Samsung calls it | What it points at |
|---|---|---|
| 21E | Freezer Fan Error | The electronics are not sensing rotational feedback from the fan. Usually a fan frozen up after a door left open or a gap in the gasket, sometimes the motor itself |
| 22E, 22C | Fridge Fan Error | Samsung attributes this to running the refrigerator with the door left open too long |
| 84C | Compressor Lock | The compressor is not starting on command. Sealed system territory, and EPA-608 work |
| 76C | Autofill water detected | Water is detected in the Autofill compartment |
| 85C | Low voltage | Triggered on Family Hub by low voltage detected on the power source |
| 88 88, 83E, 85E, 86E | Voltage or Power Error | A power surge or a brown out, which can leave a communication fault behind it |
| PC ER, PC CH | Communication Error | A communication fault between components, often after a surge or a door not properly reconnected |
| AP | Not a fault | The cabinet is acting as an access point so it can be set up for Wi-Fi |
Two of those are not repairs. AP is a setup state, and a cooling-off mode disables cooling deliberately. So the first job on any code is to rule out a mode the machine is meant to be in.
Ice codes are a different set and live on our Samsung ice maker repair page. Samsung prints them in the same undifferentiated run, but the fault trees behind them do not overlap.
Samsung sells no standalone ice maker in the United States, so the ice hardware lives inside the cabinet this page is about. That makes the boundary worth stating rather than assuming.
The assembly, the auger, the water inlet valve, the bucket and the chute belong on our Samsung ice maker repair page. Cooling, the sealed system, the doors and the cabinet stay on this one.
Frost in the ice bucket is one of the crossovers, and it is ours. Samsung puts it down to warm air passing a gap between bucket and chute. That is a seal and levelling problem rather than a mechanism problem.
An ice complaint on an RT top freezer deserves one question before anything else. Samsung sells an auto icemaker kit for top-mount cabinets, and some RT models are listed as ice maker ready rather than fitted. We have seen a visit booked for a machine that never had one.
The symptom itself, and the class action behind it, are covered in our Samsung fridge not making ice guide.
At least 31 of the catalogue’s refrigerators are counter depth, both RM cabinets included. A counter-depth machine is usually built into a cabinetry pocket, and that decides how we get behind it.
Ten of those pages are Zero Clearance Fit units: one RM, and nine in the RF70H and RF80H families. The hinge lets the door open fully with the cabinet flush to the run, which cuts both ways on a service visit.
Clearances are a per-model fact rather than a brand fact. Samsung’s two published sheets disagree with each other. One asks for two and a half inches at the hinge side, the other for three and three quarter inches along a wall. Rear clearance reads one inch on the first sheet and two inches on the second.
Samsung expects doors to come off for access and points you at the manual for the procedure. It also lists a bent water coupler after door removal as a leak cause, so those two facts belong together on the same visit.
Family Hub cabinets carry a Self Check under Fridge Manager and Fridge Settings, and it is the only on-machine diagnostic Samsung documents. Fewer than a fifth of the catalogue rows are Family Hub, so on most Samsung refrigerators the display is the whole diagnostic surface.
Five checks take no tools, and any one of them can end the call before it starts.
Call us when the temperature will not hold after those five. Call us when a code comes back after a power cycle, or when water is on the floor again within a day.
Call us before anyone pulls a counter-depth cabinet out of its pocket. On a Zero Clearance Fit unit the door was never the difficult part of that job.
Book online and give us the model number off the plate. Samsung fridge repair near me calls run from Denver out through Aurora, Lakewood and Highlands Ranch.
The appliance has its own refrigerator repair page and a standalone unit belongs on freezer repair. LG is the brand we get compared with most.
Every repair carries a 100-day labor warranty, and we source Samsung parts through national supplier networks and manufacturer contracts.
Yes, and they are most of this range. Samsung french door refrigerator repair covers the 3-Door, 4-Door and 4-Door Flex cabinets, plus the two newer RM models.
Samsung publishes one year on the refrigerator, five years on the sealed system and ten years of parts cover on the digital inverter compressor. Inside those windows the work routes to Samsung’s own network.
Samsung lists five plate positions and then says the exact one varies by model. All five are on a left-hand side, and the plate itself is an orderable part, so it can be absent.
The mechanism, bucket and chute belong on our Samsung ice maker repair page. Frost in the bucket stays here, because Samsung traces it to a seal and levelling problem.
Samsung publishes a sound-by-sound list, and most entries only need service if the noise is loud or continuing. A fan hitting ice is the one it routes to service outright.
We cover Denver and the surrounding suburbs for Samsung fridge repair. Tell us the model number and the display reading when you book.
Water under the cabinet, a door that will not seal, frost in the ice bucket or a code stuck on the display. Tell us the model number and what the panel reads, and we diagnose first and quote second. Every repair carries a 100-day labor warranty.
