Electrolux sells no stand-alone oven. Our Electrolux oven repair covers the cavity inside its gas and dual-fuel ranges and its three wall ovens. If a range shows 5d, responds to every knob and never heats, it is in demo mode, not broken.
Start with the model number. On the ranges, Electrolux puts the rating plate on the right side of the oven door frame. On the wall ovens, the serial plate sits on the interior side trim, visible once the door is open.
The ECFG ranges bake with gas. The ECFD dual-fuel ranges pair a gas cooktop with an electric oven. Electrolux also sells two induction ranges, the ECFI3068A and ECFI3668A, and we do not take them or their ovens.
Burners, knobs and the gas supply belong on our Electrolux range page. Weight, cut-outs, wiring and the combination’s microwave are covered on our Electrolux wall oven page. Cooktops, hoods and built-in microwaves sit with the rest of Electrolux’s cooking line.
Frigidaire and Frigidaire Professional ovens are covered on our Frigidaire oven page, and Gallery models on our Frigidaire Gallery page. Electrolux Professional commercial ovens are not covered here. We handle Electrolux ICON oven problems and the older radiant electric ranges too, all discontinued, except any unit under the recall below.
| Model | Machine | Oven heat | Cleaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| ECFG3068A | 30-inch gas range | Gas bake and broil burners, electric convection ring and fan | No self-clean: cleaned by hand |
| ECFG3668A | 36-inch gas range | Gas bake and broil burners, electric convection ring and fan | No self-clean: cleaned by hand |
| ECFD3068A | 30-inch dual-fuel range | Hidden bake element, broil element, one convection fan | One-hour Steam Clean |
| ECFD3668A | 36-inch dual-fuel range | Hidden bake element, broil element, two convection fans | One-hour Steam Clean |
| ECWS3012A | 30-inch single wall oven | Hidden bake element, broil and convection elements | Self Clean and Steam Clean |
| ECWD3012A | 30-inch double wall oven | Two cavities, each with a hidden bake element | Self Clean and Steam Clean |
| ECWM3012A | 30-inch wall oven and microwave combination | Oven below, same elements as the single | Self Clean and Steam Clean |
Electrolux oven error codes on the current ranges come down to one row: Err XX, which Electrolux explains only as a detected fault. Its instruction is to record the fault code and call technical support. Write the number down before you book.
An Electrolux oven not heating up while every knob and light responds may simply be in demo mode. The display then shows 5d. The guide says the range works normally except that no heat is produced.
A range in demo mode resets by cutting power, then the settings menu within five minutes. Once power is back, turn on the oven light, hold the oven temperature knob for a few seconds and switch demo mode off.
The wall-oven guides print no code list at all. An Electrolux oven F10 error or other F code appears in no current guide. Electrolux’s owner library explains some, in articles that name no model. Write it down and book.
| Display | What Electrolux says | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Err XX | A fault has been detected | Write the code down and book a technician |
| 5d | Demo mode: the controls work and nothing heats | Restore power, then switch demo off in settings within five minutes |
| 12:00 PM flashing | The range was just plugged in or lost power | Set the clock with the oven temperature knob |
| Child-lock icon | Only the oven knobs are locked | Turn child lock off in the settings menu |
| SAb, dual-fuel only | Sabbath is on, and after its set time the oven stays cold | Turn the oven mode knob to leave it |
The gas ranges have no self-clean at all, and their guides describe cleaning by hand. The dual-fuel ranges run a Steam Clean fixed at one hour, which will not start while the oven is above 167°F.
Electrolux oven self cleaning problems belong to the wall ovens, the only current models with Self Clean. So on a current model, a locked oven door means a wall oven. The cycle runs two to four hours behind a motorized latch, which takes about 15 seconds to lock or unlock. An Electrolux oven locked shut for about an hour afterward is normal: it stays locked while Hot shows.
Do not force the door. Electrolux warns that forcing it damages the automatic locking system. If a hot cycle was interrupted, the control may refuse another Self Clean for up to four hours.
Wall ovens add a Steam Clean that will not start above room temperature. An Electrolux oven door locked behind a code screen is different again: someone set Door Lock by holding LOCK for three seconds.
| Message | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| OVEN LOCK flashing | The motorized latch is moving | Wait about 15 seconds and leave the door shut |
| CLEAN | The door has locked and Self Clean has started | Let the cycle run |
| Hot | Self Clean has ended and the oven is cooling | Wait about an hour for the door to unlock |
| Triple beep | Steam Clean refused: the oven is above room temperature | Try again once it has cooled |
| d-O | The door was opened during Steam Clean | Keep it shut so the water can heat |
| Code screen with UNLOCK | Door Lock and Screen Lock are on | Enter the code shown at locking, then press UNLOCK |
The gas ranges heat with an oven burner and a broil burner, plus a rear electric ring element and fan for convection. The Electrolux oven igniter is locked to the oven burner under the cavity floor, alongside a thermocouple.
You can watch ignition yourself. Start a function with the door open and look through the holes in the cavity bottom, which Electrolux provides for that check. A burner that never lights needs a technician.
On the dual-fuel ranges and wall ovens, the Electrolux oven heating element for bake is listed as hidden. The wall-oven guide says bake heat rises from the oven bottom. You cannot see a hidden element from inside the cavity. A visual check will not find its fault.
An open door affects each oven differently. The gas oven keeps its burners firing, while the dual-fuel oven pauses heat and fan. A wall oven stops its convection fan when the door opens. So an Electrolux oven fan not working during convection may just be reacting to the door.
On a wall oven, a temperature complaint starts in the menu, not with the Electrolux oven temperature sensor. Oven Temperature Calibration moves the setting up to 35°F either way. Electrolux also warns that grocery-store oven thermometers can be 20 to 40 degrees off. The range guides describe no calibration setting.
Two wall-oven behaviors look like faults and are not. The 12-Hour Energy Saving feature switches the oven off after 12 hours. No Preheat keeps the convection fan running until you cancel it.
If your Electrolux oven won’t turn off its fan after cooking, Electrolux calls that normal. The range guide says the fan can run for an extended period with the oven off. The wall oven’s cooling fan is covered on our Electrolux wall oven page.
In CPSC’s recall data, no recall names any of the seven current ovens. The one Electrolux-badged oven recall there is 10-048, from November 2009, on the discontinued ICON E30GF74HPS gas range. It covers serial numbers NF83000000 to NF93633000. Not every serial in that span is included.
The hazard is carbon monoxide. An incorrect part lets more fuel reach the oven than it can burn efficiently, CPSC says. Its instruction is to stop using the range’s oven immediately and contact Electrolux to schedule a free repair.
CPSC says the cooktop burners and the broiler can still be used. We do not repair a recalled unit. On the ICON, the model and serial numbers are on the back of the range.
| Model | Serial numbers | CPSC instruction |
|---|---|---|
| ICON E30GF74HPS | NF83000000 to NF93633000, not all included | Stop using the oven and contact Electrolux for the free repair |
Electrolux oven troubleshooting in the owner’s guides starts with power. Several Electrolux oven problems end at one of these four checks.
Run those checks, then read the model number off the plate. If it reads E30GF74HPS, check the recall above before anything else.
An Electrolux oven not turning on with the breaker set needs a technician. So does any Err XX, a gas burner that never lights, or a door still locked once the oven is cold. Those jobs are ours to fix.
Our Electrolux oven repair service covers the gas burners and their ignition parts, the hidden elements and the convection fans. It covers the Electrolux oven control board too. All of our technicians are insured. We source parts through national supplier networks and manufacturer contracts, and we fit OEM parts when the supplier has the right one.
Every paid repair carries our 100-day labor warranty on the work invoiced. Err XX, 5d and a blank screen are three different visits, and I have seen owners describe all three the same way. So have the model number and the exact display message ready, then book a repair online.
Electrolux’s wall-oven guide asks for distilled water when steam modes are used often. The metro has no single hardness figure. For 2025, Denver Water reported an average of about 105 mg/L, near 6 grains per gallon, and Thornton about 230 mg/L, roughly 13.5.
Electrolux’s altitude note for gas burners sits in its range installation instructions, and our Electrolux range page covers it.
Every current range and wall-oven guide prints one term. For one year from the original purchase date, Electrolux pays to repair or replace parts that prove defective in materials or workmanship. That holds when the oven is installed, used and maintained as the guide says. While any Electrolux coverage runs, a covered defect goes through Electrolux’s warranty service; outside it, the repair is ours.
The product listings for all seven add a second year on replacement parts for owners who register within 60 days of purchase. The guides do not mention that year. The listings still show labor at one year.
Service calls to repair or replace light bulbs, air or water filters, other consumables, knobs, handles or other cosmetic parts are excluded.
Rust on the interior or exterior of the unit is excluded.
Service calls to correct the installation, or to instruct you how to use the oven, are excluded.
What does an Electrolux oven F14 error code mean, and what about F11 or F15?
No current Electrolux oven guide lists any of the three; the ranges print only Err XX.
F14 appears, with F11 and F15, as an example fault code in the guides for Electrolux’s discontinued radiant electric ranges. Write the code down and book a visit.
Where does the water go for steam cooking in an Electrolux wall oven?
Onto the floor of a cool cavity, so there is no reservoir to fail.
The guide says 2½ cups for Steam Bake and Steam Roast, the combination’s quick start 3 cups: pour what the screen asks for. Never add water to a warm oven.
What bulb does an Electrolux oven light take?
The 30-inch gas range guide specifies two 120-volt, 40-watt halogen bulbs.
The wall-oven guide says a 25-watt T-4 halogen bulb, its listings two 40-watt lights: match the bulb you take out. Service calls for bulbs are excluded from Electrolux’s warranty.
Do you repair the oven in an Electrolux induction range?
No. We do not take Electrolux’s induction ranges, the ECFI3068A and ECFI3668A, or their ovens.
The gas ECFG and dual-fuel ECFD ranges are ours, burners and oven alike.
