Electrolux’s current wall ovens are three 30-inch electric models: a single, a double and a wall oven and microwave combination. Our Electrolux wall oven repair treats each as a built-in machine, from the pull-out and controls to the combination’s upper microwave. A fan running on after shut-off is normal.
Open the door to find the model. Electrolux puts the serial plate on the interior side trim of the oven, visible once the door is open. Quote the model, the serial and the lot number or letter printed there.
All three are 30-inch electric models. Electrolux sells no gas wall oven today, and none in 24 or 27 inches. Electrolux double wall oven repair starts with which cavity is at fault, since the double runs both ovens from one screen. You choose between them with the UPPER OVEN and LOWER OVEN tabs on the screen.
Heat, steam, Self Clean, the locked door and every oven code live on our Electrolux oven page, which covers the cavity. This page takes the machine around it. Ranges, cooktops, hoods and stand-alone built-in microwaves each have a page under Electrolux’s cooking line.
A Frigidaire or Frigidaire Professional wall oven belongs on our Frigidaire wall oven page, a Gallery model on our Frigidaire Gallery page. We also work on the discontinued ICON E30EW75PPS, whose guide puts the serial plate on the left side of the oven frame.
| Model | Cavities | Weight | Base must support | Circuit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ECWS3012A single | One oven, 5.3 cu ft | 165 lbs | 200 lbs | 240 V, 20 A |
| ECWD3012A double | Two ovens, 5.3 cu ft each | 300 lbs | 375 lbs | 240 V, 40 A |
| ECWM3012A combination | Microwave above, oven below | 245 lbs | 375 lbs | 240 V, 40 A |
Electrolux’s installation instructions expect a later service pull. They call for as much cable slack as possible between the junction box and the oven. That way the unit can be moved if servicing is ever necessary.
The oven connects to that box through flexible armored or nonmetallic sheathed cable, with a strain relief. Power stays off while those connections are made.
Electrolux asks for the anti-tip screws to be re-engaged whenever the oven is moved. A light press on the open door should then not tip it forward.
Electrolux suggests removing the door to ease installation. Its guide warns that the door is heavy. Cabinets that are out of square or built in too tightly can trap the oven. Electrolux’s guide then sends you to the builder or installer to make it accessible.
Electrolux calls the cut-out depth critical, with a minimum of 23 1/2 inches for all three. On a new installation, Electrolux’s instructions tie convection noise, or trim that does not butt against the cabinet, to that depth.
Placement rules are strict as well. Electrolux single wall oven repair may mean working under a counter: of the three, only the ECWS3012A is approved there, with a cooktop above. None is approved for stacked or side-by-side installation, and only certain cooktops may sit over certain ovens. The cooktop in such a pairing is covered on our Electrolux cooktop page.
Level the oven the way the installation instructions do: a level on the rack, read diagonally both ways, with wood shims under the unit. On a double, repeat the check in the lower oven and shim to a compromise for both.
Some models carry a cooling fan inside the upper rear part above the oven, Electrolux’s installation text says. It cools the electrical and electronic parts. After high-temperature cooking, it keeps running once the oven is off.
The quick start guide goes further. Different fans run to heat the oven or cool its parts, even when it is off, and Electrolux calls those sounds normal. Warm air also leaves through the oven vent whenever the oven is on, and steam near the vent is normal too.
Keep the vent clear, as the guide asks. A fan that never starts, or never stops, is worth a visit.
All three share Full-Color Touch Controls, and their Menu Options hold settings that may have changed since the oven was new. Electrolux lists 12-hour energy saving, silent controls, °F or °C and temperature adjustments among them. Check those before a call.
Factory Reset returns every setting to its default. About the Appliance shows the software version and support details, which help when you book.
Electrolux Connect lets you set, preheat and watch the oven from a phone. It needs a password-protected 2.4 GHz network on WPA or WPA2 and Connect switched on at the oven. Remote Operation must be on too for control from the phone, and a remote icon on the screen confirms both. With remote operation on, Electrolux warns against keeping flammable or heat-sensitive items in, on or near the oven.
| Problem | Electrolux's fix |
|---|---|
| Weak or dropping signal | Check the network and restart the router |
| New router or changed settings | Connect the oven and phone again |
| Signal too weak at the oven | Move the router as close to the oven as possible |
| A microwave near the wall oven disrupting the signal | Turn that microwave off |
On the ECWM3012A combination, the upper cavity is a 1.7 cu ft microwave with its own convection element and a Top Grill mode. Electrolux wall oven/microwave combination repair on the ECWM3012A covers the built-in unit and its upper microwave cavity; the oven cavity has its own page. Stand-alone built-in microwaves are covered on our Electrolux microwave page.
Electrolux is firm about this cavity: never run it without the turntable and its support, even for convection or Top Grill. The turntable turns both ways. Never turn it by hand. Keep the waveguide cover clean, because food residue can cause arcing or fire.
Some signs are normal here. Below full power the magnetron cycles on and off audibly, the outside can feel warm, and condensation forms during cooking.
Electrolux warns that running the upper cavity empty for more than a minute or two may damage it and could start a fire. The heat builds around the magnetron.
A bent door, broken or loose hinges and latches, or damaged seals mean it must not be used. Never defeat the safety interlocks. Electrolux prints no codes and no troubleshooting row for this cavity. It leaves adjustment and repair to qualified service personnel.
Each one comes from Electrolux’s own wall-oven documents.
When those checks change nothing, call us. Pulling the unit, re-making its junction box connection and re-fitting the anti-tip screws are our work. So are the cooling fan, the touch control and the combination’s upper cavity.
We fix faults inside the oven too. Our Electrolux oven page explains them.
Our technicians are insured. We source parts through national supplier networks and manufacturer contracts, and we fit OEM parts when the supplier has the right one. Every paid repair carries our 100-day labor warranty on the work invoiced.
In my experience, the pull goes differently when the oven sits under a counter, so tell us that along with the model number. With both ready, book a repair online.
Cold is the climate risk Electrolux warns about. The unit must spend at least three hours above 32°F before the power goes on, because cold can damage the electronic control. That covers a replacement delivered on a freezing day, or one stored in an unheated garage.
Neither wall-oven installation document mentions altitude, and these electric ovens have no gas side to adjust.
Both wall-oven guides print a one-year limited warranty from the original purchase date. It covers parts that prove defective in materials or workmanship, when installed, used and maintained as the guide says. While any Electrolux coverage runs, a covered defect goes through Electrolux’s warranty service; outside it, the repair is ours.
Registering within 60 days adds a second year on replacement parts, the product listings for all three say. The guides do not mention it. The listings keep labor at one year.
One exclusion weighs more on a built-in than on any freestanding oven. Electrolux does not pay to make the appliance accessible for servicing. That includes removing trim, cupboards or shelves that were not part of it when it shipped from the factory.
Damage to the finish of the appliance or home during installation, such as floors, cabinets or walls, is excluded.
Service calls to correct the installation, or to instruct you how to use the oven, are excluded.
Is it normal for an Electrolux wall oven fan to run after the oven is off?
Yes. Electrolux’s installation text says the cooling fan above the cavity, fitted on some models, keeps running after high-temperature cooking to cool the electronics.
Its quick start guide calls these fan sounds normal. A fan that never starts, or never stops, is worth a visit.
Why is my Electrolux wall oven door locked?
The lock belongs to the oven cavity, so the answer is on our Electrolux oven page. It covers the Self Clean cool-down, the Door Lock code and every lock message.
Why won't my Electrolux wall oven connect to Wi-Fi?
Electrolux Connect needs a password-protected 2.4 GHz network on WPA or WPA2. Connect must be on at the oven, and Remote Operation too if you want to control it from your phone.
If it still drops, restart the router or move it closer, and turn off any microwave near the wall oven.
How do I reset an Electrolux wall oven?
Use Factory Reset in Menu Options, which returns every setting to its default. After a power failure, Electrolux says to reset the clock and the oven function once power returns.
If the fan, the controls or the upper microwave still misbehave after that, book a visit.
Do you repair the upper microwave in an Electrolux combination wall oven?
Yes. On the ECWM3012A, we treat the upper cavity as part of the built-in wall oven.
Electrolux’s stand-alone built-in microwaves are covered on their own page.
Send the model number from the serial plate on the side trim, visible with the door open, and what the screen shows. Both tell our technician how the visit, and any pull-out, will go.
