Electrolux Dishwashers in Denver Metro Kitchens

Our Electrolux dishwasher repair service starts from a short list: two current models, the EDSH4944C and EDSP4944C, which differ only in the handle. What decides each repair is the display, and whether its code returns after a 5-minute reset. Start there, because the owner’s guide says the word Close is not a fault at all: only a door that is not latched.

EDSH4944C or EDSP4944C: One Design, Two Handles

Both are 24-inch built-ins with top controls, a stainless tall tub and 14 place settings, sold in stainless steel only. The EDSH4944C has a handle and the EDSP4944C a wide pocket. Nothing else separates them. The guide puts the serial label on the right side of the door.

Electrolux’s catalog lists no drawer, portable, 18-inch or panel-ready dishwasher today. Frigidaire sells dishwashers sharing this installation sheet and code table under its Professional and Gallery names. Those belong on our Frigidaire dishwasher page or our Frigidaire Gallery page. Electrolux Professional commercial dishwashers are not covered here.

The refrigerators, column freezer, ice makers and wine cooler sit beside it on our Electrolux kitchen appliances page. Cooking and laundry machines start from our Electrolux page.

Error Codes on the EDSH4944C and EDSP4944C

The Electrolux dishwasher error codes list for these models is short: eight codes plus the Close prompt, all in the complete owner’s guide. Electrolux dishwasher fault symbols on this pair are letter codes: an E and two characters. Every code takes the same reset, CANCEL or the breaker off for 5 minutes, and a code that returns needs service.

An Electrolux dishwasher not filling shows E10, and water in the bottom pan shows E30. For E30, the guide points to the Electrolux dishwasher water inlet valve connections and the leveling. Its leak checks also include spilled rinse aid, which can foam and overflow. For an Electrolux dishwasher leaking from bottom of door, Electrolux’s owner site adds the kick plate, which can keep the door from closing.

Electrolux’s owner site lists other codes, i20 and PF among them, that the current guide never prints. The Electrolux dishwasher i50 error code comes from the discontinued ICON E24ID75SPS guide, whose i10 to iC0 mean what these E-codes mean.

Not Draining: Two Filters, Then the Drain Path

An Electrolux dishwasher not draining shows E20 or E40 or EF0, and the code table’s instruction opens with cleaning both filters and the sump. The Cylinder Fine Filter catches broken glass, bones and pits. The Coarse Filter sits beneath it in the tub bottom.

What owners call the Electrolux dishwasher drain pump, the guide calls the drain motor, and among the codes only E50 names it. A jammed disposer is its own job, on our garbage disposal repair page.

The Electrolux dishwasher drain hose has a height rule too.

  • Drain hose loop

The installation sheet allows 20 to 32 inches above the floor, the owner site at least 32, so 32 inches satisfies both.

  • Air gap

Keep it clean. The guide says it is not part of the dishwasher and not under warranty.

  • Disposer

Keep it empty, and remove the knockout plug from a new one’s inlet.

  • Standing water

Not normal after a complete cycle, says the guide, so start with the filters and the drain path.

SmartBoost and a Detergent Cup That Stays Full

These dishwashers wash with four arms. The Electrolux dishwasher lower spray arm, the middle arm and the upper arm rotate as they circulate water. The fourth, the SmartBoost Clean arm, sprays the detergent compartment directly, which the guide says dissolves detergent faster.

An Electrolux dishwasher not washing the detergent out of its cup has its own list in the guide. Old detergent comes first: discard it and use fresh. Next, make sure the load does not block spray from entering the cup. The arm aimed at that cup is the SmartBoost arm, so look at what stands in front of it.

An Electrolux dishwasher not cleaning well gets a longer list from the same guide.

  • Spray arms: make sure nothing stops an Electrolux dishwasher spray arm from turning.
  • Rinse aid: it also lubricates the wash arm bearing so the arms rotate properly.
  • Loading: avoid nesting items, and choose a longer cycle for heavy soil.
  • Detergent: fresh household dishwasher detergent only. Industrial grade detergent can damage parts.
  • Film or etching: a white vinegar rinse without detergent treats film and spots. Etching from too much detergent in soft water is permanent.

The SANITIZE Light Reports a Pass or a Fail

SANITIZE is one of the eight cycles on these models. It heats the final rinse to 158°F (70°C) and extends the cycle until the water gets there. For best results, the guide wants incoming water of at least 120°F (49°C). At the end, one LED gives the verdict.

  • LED lit at the end

NSF requirements for sanitization were reached. The LED stays on after the door opens.

  • LED off, then two blinks

They were not reached. The LED blinks twice as the door opens, then goes out.

  • Why it misses

The guide names an interrupted cycle, a power failure or incoming water below 120°F.

Heat, Drying and Why a Cycle Runs Three Hours

The Electrolux dishwasher heating element is an in-line heater under the tub, with no exposed element. A fault there shows as E60: on these models, Electrolux dishwasher error code 60 means a problem with the water heating system.

AIR DRY leaves the heater off during drying, so an Electrolux dishwasher not drying on AIR DRY is working as designed. That also explains an Electrolux dishwasher not heating in the dry phase. MAX DRY adds time instead.

Long cycles are normal too. The guide times NORMAL at about 200 minutes with AIR DRY and SANITIZE at 240 to 255. The first run after installation or a power failure runs heavy, because the soil sensor is not yet calibrated.

Electrolux’s Owner Checks, in Order

Troubleshooting Electrolux dishwasher problems starts at the display, then follows the water. Each step comes from the complete owner’s guide, the Electrolux dishwasher troubleshooting guide for these models, or from Electrolux’s owner site.

  1. Display: Close means the door is not latched. POWER with two dashes means wait: the cycle resumes if the door stays shut.
  2. Reset: the Electrolux dishwasher reset is CANCEL, or the breaker off for 5 minutes.
  3. Start: an Electrolux dishwasher not starting may have timed out. Press START, then close the door within 4 seconds.
  4. Delay and lock: DELAY should be off. If buttons make the CONTROL LOCK LED blink three times, the lock is on.
  5. Dark panel: an Electrolux dishwasher display not working may be asleep after 5 minutes. If your Electrolux dishwasher won’t turn on at all, check the breaker or fuse.
  6. Filters: turn the Cylinder Fine Filter counterclockwise, lift it out, then lift out the Coarse Filter. Rinse both, and turn the fine filter back clockwise until the arrows align and it clicks.
  7. Drain path: empty the disposer, clear the sink spigot and straighten the drain hose.
  8. New install: under 30 days old, the owner site sends you back to the installer.

When to Call Wilson & Myers

Run the checks above first; each comes from Electrolux’s own documents. An Electrolux dishwasher not working after them is ours to diagnose.

That includes E50 or E60 or EC0 returning after the reset. An Electrolux dishwasher pump problem the control detects shows as E50, which covers the drain motor and the wash motor alike. The wash motor is what many owners call the Electrolux dishwasher circulation pump, and we test both. EC0 points to the electronic control, the Electrolux dishwasher control board.

An Electrolux dishwasher door not closing after the kick plate check is ours, as is a damaged power cord. We replace a worn Electrolux dishwasher door seal too. In my experience, the display code is the detail worth sending ahead: E20 sends us to the drain path, E50 to the motors.

Our technicians are insured and work on both current models. We source parts through national supplier networks and manufacturer contracts, and we fit OEM parts when the supplier has the right one. Every paid repair carries our 100-day labor warranty on the work invoiced.

While Electrolux coverage runs, Electrolux’s warranty service handles a covered defect. Otherwise, book a repair with the model number and the code on the display.

Denver Metro Water and Winters: What the Documents Say

Hardness varies tenfold across Denver Metro utilities, and the guide has advice for both ends. Denver Water’s 2026 report put its 2025 average at about 105 mg/L, near 6 grains per gallon. Thornton’s 2025 average was about 230 mg/L, roughly 13.5 grains. Longmont’s 2025 figures ran 19 to 25 parts per million, about 1.1 to 1.5 grains.

Winter matters too: the installation sheet warns that a frozen inlet valve can rupture and flood.

One Year in the Guide, a Second Parts Year in the Listings

The owner’s guide gives one year from the original date of delivery, and both spec sheets list one year of labor and one of parts.

Electrolux’s product listings add a Platinum Star limited warranty: a second year of parts with registration within 60 days of purchase. The guide does not print it, so keep proof of registration.

While any Electrolux coverage runs, a covered defect goes through Electrolux’s warranty service; outside it, Electrolux dishwasher repairs are ours.

  • Covered

For one year from delivery, Electrolux pays all costs to repair or replace parts defective in materials or workmanship. That holds when the dishwasher is installed, used and maintained as the guide says.

  • Not covered

Commercial use, rust, and serial numbers removed, altered or unreadable.

  • Installation

Calls to correct the installation, or to show you how to use the dishwasher, are excluded.

  • Consumables

Service calls for consumables such as air or water filters are excluded.

  • Outside service

Damage from service companies outside Electrolux’s network, from non-genuine parts, or from parts bought outside that network is excluded.

  • Air gap

Not part of the dishwasher, so not covered.

  • Tub, racks and control

Nothing beyond one year in the current guide.

Electrolux Dishwasher Repair FAQ

  • How do I reset an Electrolux dishwasher?

Here is how to reset Electrolux dishwasher error codes: press CANCEL, or turn the breaker off for 5 minutes.

If the same code returns, the guide says to call for service.

  • How do I drain an Electrolux dishwasher?

How to drain Electrolux dishwasher water depends on when it sits there. Canceling a running cycle drains the tub. Press CANCEL and close the door within 4 seconds, or it drains at the start of the next wash. The drain takes about a minute, and opening the door stops it.

After a complete cycle, water left in the tub is not normal, the guide says, so start with the filters.

  • What should I check when my Electrolux dishwasher won't start?

Timing first. Press START, then close the door within 4 seconds, or the start times out. Check that DELAY is off and the control lock is not set.

The Electrolux dishwasher door latch matters too: the guide’s won’t-run checks include a door closed and latched. Electrolux dishwasher buttons not working at all can also mean voltage too low to run.

  • Why are my Electrolux dishwasher lights flashing?

The guide explains each blink. The CLOSE LED blinks, with a tone every 30 seconds, until you press START or CANCEL or close the door. A blinking START LED beside POWER means the power went out mid-cycle.

Three blinks from one LED mean an unavailable option or an active lock.

  • Where is the model number on an Electrolux dishwasher?

The guide places the serial label on the right side of the door. Electrolux’s owner site adds the interior side of the door or the right side of the tub.

The guide asks you to record the model number, serial number and purchase date. Keep the receipt or delivery slip, since the warranty runs from delivery.

  • What is Electrolux dishwasher error code 01, and how do I fix it?

The current guide prints no such code. Its status window shows delay hours as 1HR to 12HR and the time left in hours and minutes. Before treating an Electrolux dishwasher error 01 as a fault, check whether it is one of those. A delay count is not a fault: switch DELAY off, or let the hours run out.

Electrolux’s owner site lists 01 to 24 as delay hours, without naming a panel. The Electrolux dishwasher LOC error on that list means a locked door. The current guide has a control lock instead, which locks the buttons and lights the CONTROL LOCK LED.

  • Is there Electrolux dishwasher repair near me in the Denver Metro Area?

Yes. Wilson & Myers covers the Denver Metro Area, and our insured technicians repair both current models where they are installed. Send the model number and the code on the display when you book.

Electrolux Dishwasher Not Draining or Showing an E-Code?

Tell us the model number and the code on the display. E20 points to a clog you may clear yourself, while E50 and E60 point to a motor or the heating system.
